God became a Judge for us and declared us free and acquitted. We are now free from the wages of sin which is death. This liberty we have received shouldn't be a yardstick for reckless living.

If you want to be free just believe in the finished work of Christ and you'll receive the liberty He Has freely provided for everyone.

It is absolutely clear that God has called you to a free life. Just make sure that you don’t use this freedom as an excuse to do whatever you want to do and destroy your freedom. Rather, use your freedom to serve one another in love; that’s how freedom grows. For everything we know about God’s Word is summed up in a single sentence: Love others as you love yourself. That’s an act of true freedom. If you bite and ravage each other, watch out—in no time at all you will be annihilating each other, and where will your precious freedom be then? My counsel is this: Live freely, animated and motivated by God’s Spirit. Then you won’t feed the compulsions of selfishness. For there is a root of sinful self-interest in us that is at odds with a free spirit, just as the free spirit is incompatible with selfishness. These two ways of life are antithetical, so that you cannot live at times one way and at times another way according to how you feel on any given day. Why don’t you choose to be led by the Spirit and so escape the erratic compulsions of a law-dominated existence?

Thank you for your exhortation to believers not to use our freedom in Christ to live unholy lives.

Isn't it wonderful that although God is our judge and the wages of sin is death, in His great mercy He sent Jesus to be the propitiation for our sins. By Jesus' atoning sacrifice on the cross, we stand before the judge justified and declared righteous. What amazing grace!

Wouldn't you agree?

Always wonderful words to hear--our freedom in Christ! Amen!!! Blessings! UPvoted and following!

Really wonderful post! Thanks for sharing

this is amazingly true... Nice post @kodeblacc

The liberty we enjoy today shouldn't be a yardstick for reckless living.. Word of the day. We don't have to live in sin for grace to abound. This is the mistake most Christians make. They replace grace for hard work. Living a righteous life requires hardworking of believing the word, walking in the precepts of the Bible and daily fellowship.

Yes you are very correct at that summary @kodeblacc, "love others as you love yourself ", l'm blessed in todays verse.
