Day 5&6 23/04, 24/04

Wonderful day to all and sundry. The week has been with divers rigours. Ranging from swearing in to other activities.

Monday started with the early wake by the Soldiers on camp. We had gotten use to the sound of the beagle by now and everyone got ready at once.

We had had different parade rehearsal prior to this time, now it was time to show what we had learnt to the Executive governor of Ogun state, Ibikunle Amosun, the chief judge, commissioner of police, the Oba Akarigbo of Remoland and other high dignitaries.

The Prospective Corp Member were on the parade ground and at alert always. The governor gave his speech reminding us of our dedication and selflessness. The chief judge came up to take us on oath of allegiance which everyone took. We were afterwards called Corp member or popularly Corpers. We saluted the Executive governor of Ogun state after he was done with his speech. We were immediately dispatched to attend all other activities. The highlight of the night on Monday was the welcoming party we were thrilled to. There was dancing competition in which my bunkmate surprisingly won. My roommate?!

Tuesday was more of man'o war drills, usual parade, prayers and dedication piece. We were matched to the stadium for a 5 hours lectures. It was boring and tiring all together. We had drills in the afternoon and the evening was full of different sport activities. Yes! Camp just started making sense.

I have a hurting arm but it is been eventful here in Sagamu, Ogun state.
