Tomorrow slowly passes
While we lie in wait
Pleading He forgives our trespasses
Lest we waste
Once we are born
We begin to forget the reason we came
But down upon a Divan
Our lips stutter in petition to the Divine
Is there happily ever after?
A place we watch the sunset thaw
Where we hear the nightingales sing
And the pines whistle
Come be that time
When the bones rise again
Wearing flesh anew
Alas! The skulls smile afresh
