A Couple Fun Fact About Porgs

in starwars •  7 years ago  (edited)

From Star Wars: The Last Jedi - Visual Dictionary, the Porgs were originally a lot more colourful than depicted in the movies.

A tidbit I thought I would share about these little critters.

Also, did you know that porgs are only in the movie because they couldn't get rid o the puffins from Skellig Michael?

Cool

I recently saw The Last Jedi and really enjoyed it. I loved all the weird abd wonderful creatures they created. My hubby also liked the movie but thought the excess of overly cute creatures was unnecessary.

I also think that looking at the colourful versions about they made the right decision to dull it doen. It gave them a more innocent look.

I won't get into it here, I have a review I intend to write up, but the short version is that I really enjoyed it as well. I agree with you in that they made the right pick in keeping the look mostly uniform. It would not only be very distracting to the eyes, but it wouldn't seem very fitting to the region to have such colourful birds flying around. I would think those kind would be best suited for a jungle setting.

Cool, followed so I can check it out. Have a great Christmas!

Omg they are so cute ha ha they look awesome

I know so little about all this stuff....
