We scream for leaders who has true vision for the nation
These old guns doesn’t want to leave
They stifle the growth of any young leader
They have sown wrong seeds in the hearts of many

How did we find ourselves in this state?
We always want the best of meals on our plate
When will this selfishness and wickedness abate?
We are not giving up because this shouldn’t be our fate

You see these old politicians with their pot bellies
They seem to always attend every function late
They want the attention and they tell loyalty to wait
They are best buddy with corruption even till date

How did we find ourselves in this state?
I am not even talking of this as a nation
I am talking of human character fueled by greed
Why has selfishness taken its toll on us like this?
