Correlation doesn't mean causation.
These is also an outgrowth of western civilization based on christian ethics and greco-roman philosophy. That may also be the reason why they are so peaceful...as they have been for the past 100 years +.

    Yeah, that's the very reason I wrote up the "...or might it..." -portion on the post. :p
