The place where steel bleeds

Row after row of once was useful mechanical marvels is a wasteland of what were once part of a thriving enterprise machines now weather a storm of waiting to be brought to new life or sent to the shredder to be processed into a future metallic marvel. Located in central Winnipeg, Canada, this yard has several buildings and massive steel castings at every turn. There is an art form to the galleries of rusted steel. Today I took my brother in law out to do a walk about among the derelict metal. Al is an artist and was captivated by the colors, fabrication and patinas of the materials around us. There is an abundance of pulleys, gears and hooks. The owner of the property is quite negotiable and willing to load your vehicle with whatever heavy items you acquire. Splashes of natures work exists throughout our walk.
All in all it was a great day followed by some autehntic Etheopean food with great company and a carload of precious metal.() All images captured on an IPhone 7 plus.
