Stumbled upon these charts today, visible on the Statistics Page at Share2Steem. The @Share2Steem service allows you to share your Twitter, Instagram, Twitch, YouTube and Medium posts on STEEM. One of the easiest ways to "Get rewarded for posting on other social networks" by using simple hashtags like #Share2Steem.
After a quick calculation; I noticed their service is growing at about 12.4 users per day for the past month. Not exactly stellar growth, but steady and that matters most. It's possible the #Seven77 Challenge (lead by @nathanmars) is driving this to a degree.
I was also intrigued by the following chart which shows the growth of Instagram users also sharing their content on STEEM via Share2Steem

We are definitely picking up steem ;)

I believe their doing a fine job and have been in the game for some time now. A bit past 'testing' phase and everyone shouldn't be doing the same thing.
Sharing from IG/Medium/Twitch/YouTube etc via a simple #hashtag will bring more users onto STEEM than vice versa. We need their users, they don't need ours.
I think maybe contacting them with your opinions directly at @share2steem would be a great option. They may have their own views and opinions on why/how it should work; witch as always should be respected.

Everyone's approach is different and I was thinking more from a early days of startup point of view (my personal view)

How is that a problem?
They created a service to auto-detect your post on multiple networks— Medium, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Twitch— and share them on STEEM. Not to mention a very sleek backend and website.
They also upvote your post moments after each time you use their service.... Surely the devs should get paid for maintenance— at least 🤔

But if you want to use share2steem to promote something involving vote rewards to participants 10% is just prohibitive.

This is from one of @socky's daily posts about how much liquid steem we have vs steem tied in in sp. The amount of sp has always been the vastly bigger number, but since the first of 2019, the liquid amount has been rising for some reason. I do not know enough about the economics here to guess why .

Well, I was searching for a population growth - chart related to the most used social platforms and came across this one. Unfortunately Steemit doesn't even classify.
Does anybody know how many (active?!) users the Steemit platform have? Is there a way to find this out?

Update 1: Another aspect to look at, is that the Steemit platform is still highly associated with cryptocurrency (Duh) and doesn't attract new users on its own. It is highly influenced by the market situation: market goes up -> Steemit's popularity (platform) rises; market goes down -> users are leaving.
