Content Discovery Challenge #2: What is the most interesting article that you found on Steem this week? And why?

in steem-exclusive •  2 years ago

Let's build connections on the blockchain. This week's goal is to help people find interesting content by telling everyone about your favorite Steem post of the week (by someone other than yourself).

I'll go first...

My favorite article this week was An elephant from the Berlin Zoo learnt to peel bananas [VIDEO] by @sarahjay1. (It was posted 8 days ago, but I read it on Saturday.) I also included this article in my STEM Saturday Digest, but I had to mention the post again because it really was my favorite - hands down. ;-)

The article tells about a crafty elephant at the Berlin Zoo named, Pang Pha, who learned to peel bananas with her trunk. Surprisingly, this behavior has also been seen from other elephants, but never before in Vienna or Berlin. Interestingly, the elephant is selective in when she decides to peel the bananas. It all depends on how ripe they are, and on whether she's alone or not. There's also an embedded YouTube video, so click through to read more about it and watch the video. There are some interesting theories to explain why she's so choosy, and also how she learned the skill.

And while you're there, why not follow @sarahjay1?

In honor of Pang Pha, here's a fun limerick from ChatGPT.

There once was an elephant quite grand
Who found bananas quite in demand
With her trunk so strong
She peeled them all day long
Leaving nothing but peels on the land

Please reply below with your own favorite articles so that people can find authors to follow.

I suggest including the title, link, author, and a short description of why it was your favorite.

Perhaps the most interesting post I read this week was A possible AI counter-narrative. But I think you are not very interested in such an answer. So the next interesting post I will probably call A Weekend Trip to Blue Mountains, New South Wales. Why? I like to read about other countries, about traveling. This post is thorough and well illustrated.

Thanks! I followed @dove11.

Thanks @remlaps-lite, great honor following you back!

Thank you so much 👍

I have read a number of posts this week, mostly by my favorite authors, but I appreciate creative ideas, the ideas that give me something to think about, and this is one such post by @patjewell that left a deep impact on my mind.

Thank you! ☕

I really liked this article. Steem's very good idea to attract outside users here. It seems like a really good idea for people to shop using steem. Thus, the usage area of steem will intensify gradually.

Reading blogs of other participants there are many good posts. For example, a post about the monument to F.M.Dmitriev by the author @may2015 he made a strong impression on me. Here the author wrote about her city, the history of this monument. And I took the photo exclusively myself. An interesting post turned out!

Thanks for the link. That is a very cool contest!

I like @crisking's publication, the title NIGHT is written in Italian, I like it because it talks about the union between a mother and her son, sharing experiences that are obviously totally opposite due to the ages of both, I found it motivating and pleasant

Thank you very much, @lupega !
Very kind of you as always!

Thank you for recommendation!

You're welcome. I hope it introduces some people to your blog!
