Where I am new to Steemit, I have been blogging at my own blog, thehotiron.com, for over a decade, and I have always made it a rule to not use any stock photography and try to create my own whenever possible. Granted I am not a photographer by any means, but with a little editing I can usually make something nice... which on occasion I have seen "borrowed" by another site. :(
