The call to arms from our esteemed secretary @sirknight -----> HERE has been answered. #TeamAustralia I need your support in @papa-pepper's STEEM-APOCALYPSE Survival Game.

Although the #SteemWars declaration has been officially declared to begin on the 1st July, I, @scooter77, have already been working as a specially appointed ASIO agent, infiltrating STEEM-POCALYPSE, and making it through to Day 2, Round 2.

What is STEEM-POCALYPSE

Steem-Pocalypse is a survival game run by the esteemed @papa-pepper. Each day a new scenario is posted, requiring team members to choose from different situations, collecting items and making important decisions along the way.
@papa-pepper runs his enthralling survival game at regular intervals and there will be many opportunities for us all to represent! If I fall, I will fall gracefully, knowing I have served my country well. I am now calling you all to arms, to take my place in the next survival series, so we, #teamaustralia, can conquer and dominate the Steem-Pocalyse challenges for millennia to come.

The latest update of Steem-Pocalypse can be found ---->HERE and a new scenario and challenge occurs everyday.

Can you Help?

Can you help me and @crisgojar (honorary #teamaustralia member) in SCOOTER TEAM to conquer and win the challenge? I am asking you to follow @papa-pepper, check the challenge/scenario for the day and message me by 8pm AEST, with encouraging words of wisdom (ideas and strategies) before we make our move each day. I can be found over on the DiscordPAL chat under the #teamaustralia tag -----------> https://discord.gg/HYj4yvw.

Lets band together and 'Advance Australia Fair'. There are numerous countries represented in this esteemed challenge and many have fallen by the wayside already.

Are there any more fellow team members working undercover in this space? If so, come forward and gain the respect and guidance from the members from #teamaustralia.

Wish me luck. Thanks for your support and Aussie, Aussie, Aussie......... (you know the rest!)

Peace Out!

I hope so too! I've been trying to figure out if the berries are safe to eat. Hubby reckons either eat nothing or the leaves (in that order).

What an interesting game!!

Good luck!

The second option appear to be gooseberries which are edible..... Most people are choosing those!

Yeh! I saw one team go for the purple berries. I Googled it and it looks like gooseberries.

Having a little trouble with a temperamental laptop today, but will rally to the cause... oi, oi, oi! Coming off our win in last night's state of origin, we're feeling pretty steemed up here in Queensland :-)

Thanks for supporting. Lets see how we fare!

Hi @scooter77, if you are on this post here and doing this challenge: https://steemit.com/steem-pocalypse/@papa-pepper/steem-pocalypse-survival-game-season-4-day-2-round-2-300-sbd-prize-pool-so-far

You want to do option #1 where you eat the small red berries, on the small green plants. These are wintergreen plans and I have eaten those berries in the wild, very delicious! https://www.google.com/search?q=canadian+moonseed&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiJyN6Vx9LUAhVHImMKHTabDC0Q_AUICigB&biw=1093&bih=510#tbm=isch&q=wintergreen+berries

The 2nd option are the purple berries, which are moonseed berries. These look like grapes sort of but are very poisonous!!!

The third plant is probably poison IVY, don't eat it!

No need to take the 4th option and go hungry when there are delicious berries to eat!

Thanks @crypto-investor. I really appreciate your support and advice. Lets go with Option 4!

If you run into any mushroom challenges, I am very good at identifying wild mushrooms. I am better with mushrooms than plants even, but I have begun learning the plants too! I know of many wild edible plants if you run into more challenges like this. Just shoot me a message in my blog so I make sure to catch your posts!

EDIT: Looks like option #2 was gooseberries! Very similar to moonseed so it fooled me. Looks like you got through that round @scooter77, nice job!

For day 3 round 1, the 4th option seems safest to me where you find a log and make a bridge across the canyon.

Awesome! :D

@scooter77 - For today's challenge it is some wild flower identification.

Option 1 - The first flower, I am about 90% sure it is chicory which is a bitter flower but 'edible'. If I were going to eat those blossoms I would try to cook the bitterness out of them so I am not sure it is the best option. PICS
Chicory Edibility: http://www.ediblewildfood.com/chicory.aspx

OPTION 2: White flowers - This could easily be Poison Hemlock or Water Hemlock (both poisonous).
Water Hemlock PICS
Poison Hemlock PICS

OPTION 3: Purple flowers on tree - I can only guess, but since the blossoms are highly pink and this is a tree, I am going to guess it is not wild apple, pear, plum or cherry. The reason being is the blossoms are very pink. My guess and this is only a guess is something like an ornamental wild blossoming tree like Eastern Redbud According to wikipedia:

"Native Americans consumed redbud flowers raw or boiled, and ate roasted seeds."

Not 100% sure on this option but it would be better than starving. Certainly #1 shouldn't kill you but I also can't imagine it being a good meal. With chicory, it's better to eat the leaves slightly cooked or like a salad. Even then they are considered bitters.

@crypto-investor I finally ran out of Steem! And was poisoned by dirty water. Oh well. Until next season. Thanks for your support.

Yes I saw, got as far as you could! Good job.

You are a wealth of knowledge. Thanks for the information. Option 2 doesn't look like an option. Let me do some research too and see which of the other options is best.

Option 3 it is.... Fingers crossed!

Man! How did I miss this until now?!?!?!

Also, how did I find this now?!?!?!?!

Hahaha. I am wondering the same thing!!!
