The Co-Op Wallet PrototypesteemCreated with Sketch.

Just a barebones idea of a wallet that leverages on STEEM, somehow. Notice there isn't any mention of STEEM in the wallet, and it assumes that people want to get "banked" in USD. The voting and posting function will only be limited to certain community tags like #thecoopwallet. With such a focus, it will be all about improving the wallet, and giving people some say in a community-owned "bank" while earning and saving money at the same time. Upon further exploration, users will discover a larger base of communities built around STEEM. I know that Steemit as a whole is already an abstraction of something that's larger than a co-op bank, but I think this narrow focus on a wallet will make some sense to mainstream users, while appearing next-gen. Well I'm not even sure if it's a good idea, or if it even makes any good sense. Just putting it out there..

This seems simple and straightforward and might appeal to people wanting simplicity in their wallet. The look it has right now would also definitely appeal to the very young who could easily see this as a wallet for kids!? It looks good and surely has appeal. Thanks for sharing, namaste :)

Lol, the comic sans and lazy layout is a running joke, but yeah I've defaulted to these recently so I'd spend less time hunting for fonts and shifting pixels on the screen.. Better to just shoot out ideas fast :) Comic sans not getting enough love too ever since Windows 10 came out..

Thanks! I'd like to think that any STEEM projects using the communities feature will be able to make any user or customer a "co-owner" too in the end, just by joining the network..

I don't think I'd emphasize real-time price--at least until it is way more stable. People would freak out at the extreme volatility. Maybe Steem Power amount with voting power as percent would be better on home view. I agree, as really great mobile front-end is key.

I was thinking it's actually a mix of SBDs (that earn a certain % APR) and STEEM POWER (that earns according to curation activities / posting) but any of these are masked and represented just showing $ on the screen. If savings account is based on SBDs as the stable unit, then at least the numbers wont fly to the other direction, making $ lesser than what they've put in - it wouldn't be a savings account that way haha. Not sure how STEEM Power will come into play if somebody buying a $999 savings account expect to see exactly $999 on screen. But I'm not an expert on finance stuff so I wonder how all these can be achieved. The most important step however, is getting people to try it in the first place..

I think a reduced web wallet format would do well, but I like your idea bubble too!
