The international celebration of Mother's Day honors women who care for, protect and love their children. They not only give them life, but help them to build it.

This celebration was born from the meetings "Mother's Friendship Day" and "Mother's Day Meetings" held by Anna Marie Jarvis, known as the founder of Mother's Day, between 1865 and 1968 in the United States, where mothers They could share their opinions on various topics among themselves.

Mother's Day is celebrated worldwide on different dates. In Venezuela, the second Sunday of May is celebrated, as in Colombia, Uruguay, Chile, Japan, Switzerland, Germany, Brazil, Canada, among others. In Ireland and the United States, the mother is commemorated on the fourth Sunday of Lent.

Argentina celebrates this day on the third Sunday of October, while Panama and Indonesia do so in December. In some countries such as Serbia and Bulgaria it coincides with International Women's Day, on March 8, and in Algeria, Syria and Egypt with Spring Day, on the 21st of the same month.
