Today's a special day. I have 200 followers. I thought I'd recap what I've done on here. Here's the rundown.

I have steady upvotes from @murh, @jlufer, and @skeptic (probably others but those sometimes get buried)
I have made new friends in @canadian-coconut and @jamesc
I trolled an @ned post and got him to talk about what needs to be done to raise the price of steem
I was in a short flame war with @r4fken
I talked about my steemit posts and posted them on youtube. I've personally exposed steemit to a lot of people.

I've also learned a shit ton about blockchain that I never knew about. I like the transparency aspect of it. I still hate mining, and if nothing else the inflation is going to kill everyone, but the whales around here. That said the technology and approach itself is pretty cool.
I know I'm salty, and I continue to think that the price of steem is going to tank between the number sellers, the too few buyers, the ridiculous amount of inflation, and no way for institutional investors to put money in here. However, that beef is with the economics of the platform. The platform itself is pretty fucking cool. I like this place. I mostly like the community (even if I may not be loved in return).
So, here's to my 200 followers now, and may there be many more (hopefully some more that aren't a bunch of broke ass basement dwelling millenials with phat stacks of steem).
as always upvote, comment, resteem, and follow or the terrorists have won.
Congrats... cool to see your personal highlights. :) We're just getting started. followed #202

'They' say there's an optimum time at which it's better to throw your upvote onto a post but who's got time for that? If I see a post I like, I vote on it.
I understand your point about inflation killing everyone but the whales here, but I'm not sure I quite agree with it.
The option of taking 100% steem on a post has been interesting - it's been brilliant lately, a $34 post raked in $144 for me and my Steem Power is rising at astonishing rates - it's all good!
I didn't come here with the idea this platform was going to make me a millionaire overnight. I'm not that naive, but I do intend to make my living from it -if it lasts.
If it doesn't last and it tanks and dies I've lost nothing but a few hundred $ and though it would be a shame, it won't kill me.
So, now we've established that nobody died, congratulations on what you've achieved and let's make it on to the next stage.
I hope to troll @ned in person at SteemFest - or at least speak to him in person.
We're still in beta and believe me, I've broken things as a beta-tester that the developers didn't believe could be broken.
We may not have caught the Business-Class carriages, but we joined this Steem Train early enough to be in the First-Clas carriages and as it progresses, Steems along and more carriages are added, I think we're going to reap the benefits of joining early.
Steem On! We're as close to the pioneers as is possible to get now. Everyone that joins after will be looking upon us like we looked upon the likes of those you mentioned.
Onward and upward!

They could. I suppose anything is possible. It doesn't seem likely to happen.

Oh, and the steemit thousandaire was true for 1 day. After I hit it though the price of steem started dropping. So, for all of like 15 minutes my account was worth $1k. I don't think I'm gonna see that again for like 2-3 years...
