ASK STEEM : Question - Are SMART MEDIA TOKENS also based on a 7 day payout model?

Hello Everyone,

I am planning to introduce smart media tokens into my existing application Steemlancer. But I have a small query.

Are SMT are also based on a 7 day payout based model? Although it is needed to provide liquidity to the STEEM coins, I want a reard model that pays indefinitely ( Payments can be hedged from curators ).

Any Ideas ? @ned @dan @good-karma @jesta ?
