The “V” of the Tree
.
A series of Leopard images in the “V” before descent.

Often when people ask me the best and the different ways to make Leopard images on a tree, my answer leans towards studying the behaviour of the individual cat and the species and not about how well versed you are with your camera.
Of course the right camera settings are an important basic. But more crucial is knowing how this cat will behave when ascending or descending a tree, what path will it choose and depending on that what background will you choose, and more often than not it will look in the final “V” before the jump.
It is so fascinating to predict this and position the vehicle and rarely goes wrong when the Leopard decides to jump across trees and descends a completely different one.
