The Indonesian Steemit Community once shared their experiences in working at Steemit. The meeting, which was attended by around 150 people from all over Indonesia, was held at the Regional House of Representatives' Council Hall in the City of Cimahi, West Java.

The community members, called Steemian, consist of a handful of curators and most are contributors to the contents of the Steemit.com page. The milestone in the establishment of the group in Indonesia came from Lhokseumawe, Aceh, on 4 June 2017.

The driving force of two people, who is now the curator of Indonesian-language content Steemit.com, Reza Fahlevy (@levycore) and Aiqa Brago (@aiqabrago). Both have been actively contributing content since Steemit.com launched in 2016. "The number of Steemit Indonesia members is now 4,000," said one of Indonesia's special Steemit international curators, Mariska Lubis.

is social media, or social networking and blogging, which is based on a digital currency (cryptocurrency) blockchain system. Two originators of BitShares, Ned Scott and Daniel Larimer, initiated the new style of social media through Steemit Incorporated, headquartered in Virginia, United States.

They launched

must be registered as members. The difference is that the Steemit system will provide a long password. But acceptance as a member varies. Some are immediately accepted after registering, but there also have to wait for days. So, registrants must be patient

The keyword also has another function that is no less important, namely opening virtual money transactions to be exchanged into rupiah. Next, log in to the user's bank account.

If on other social media, post content (uploads) in the form of text, photos, or videos, only bear fruit comments or judgments preferred or vice versa, Steemit rewards all such user activities with money. Both the sender of the contents and those who commented and chose it as good work, all were sprayed with money bearing the US $ symbol.

The choice (upvote) of the curator is greater than that of fellow members. Such an award has made Steemit members soaring, including in Indonesia. "Steemit social media users are digital currency miners," said Mariska Lubis, Chairman of the Steemit Community in Bandung, West Java, some time ago.

Until February 2018, the most Steemit Community members came from Aceh, such as in Lhokseumawe, Banda Aceh and Bireun. "Here is like the sharia system. When votes are returned votes, rewards are returned similar, charity returns again, and hospitality is also," said Purnama Setiabudi, 39, on the sidelines of the event.

The obstetrician at Avicena Hospital, Bireuen, Aceh, began actively filling in Steemit since August 2017. "Initially I was thinking negatively when invited," said the candidate for Deputy Regent of Bireun in 2017.

Before writing and sending photos of daily activities, he chose to become an investor. He bought 500 Steems from several people who were sold at a unit price of Rp 12 thousand. The total funds are Rp. 5.2 million. In November when the price soared to Rp 100,000 per Steem, he earned tenfold or Rp 50 million.

Purnama admitted that he rarely wrote. Since he was registered with Steemit, he had been pensive for two months to write. After seeing and reading the accounts of other members, he decided to write about the daily problems he experienced. Sometimes he delivered his tour with photographs. "Just write according to what is in our heads. Do not because people like it, or a lot of money from this," he said.

The Steemit Indonesia meeting covered a lot of things, including the story of the experience of using money gained. For example there are those who are able to help their parents repair the house. There is also a story about writing cah kale recipe that is liked by people and chosen by foreign curators to flow Rp. 10 million into his bank account.

Mariska said that the fund for the inaugural meeting in Cimahi was also without sponsors. The money comes entirely from joint ventures the work of members at Steemit. "Likewise, a donation of Rp 10 million for earthquake victims in Banten some time ago," he said.

According to me, Steemit opens opportunities for anyone to increase their income or want to be rich. "It's OK, that's OK. But there are no rich people who don't work optimally and have quality."

A motorcycle taxi driver in Jakarta, Pian, who joined since six months ago, claimed to get around Rp. 2 million. He wrote and sent photos of various topics, ranging from everyday events, as well as the benefits of medicinal plants.

"It is based on experience and own knowledge," he said. There is also Jodi Pamungkas who writes reviews of various games. "Now is preparing the video version," Jodi said.
