While I personally believe that the platform has (overall) been so poorly implemented, with decisions made to benefit the whales most at the expense of minnows near exclusively, I believe that the system is not reparable in its current form and even with the injection of fresh blood will be too little too late.
However, I'm not going to tell anyone to abandon ship, like myself, I like having the option of a free blog hosting service. Even the crypto rewards, I can't view it as anything more than like the score on a video game.
I agree I joined in 2017 andsince then all that really changed was the logo. I do love the new communities but OMG it's like one change every 3 years lol. I think this competition might do both platforms good to actually expand and evolve instead of just stagnating.
