This is not only an invitation for anyone to add steem to their accounts, but also a question as to why EVERYONE is not participating in this simple and easy way to help yourself and, everyone else at the same time.

everyone that comments on my posts gets a minimum of $0.03 because I ALWAYS upvote replies. It takes no effort, encourages other Steemians to comment and vote and rewards your wallet.
What I don't understand is why isn't EVERYONE doing this ALL the time? It just seems like a no brainier to me.

When I tell my friends about Steemit this is the main feature that I explain most of them as a large number of them are not content creators. I have had a comment in the past that paid out higher than the post I commented on, haha! I too try to always upvote comments, even if I have to wait till the nextmorning when my voting power rises again, hehe.

I've seen other people share this info as well and while earnings can be great, I feel like there is more value in upvoting really great replies and comments so that they are rewarded and so that the best content can surface.
What I would like to see is the ability to upvote and assign a weight or percentage to a reply. So you could reward all replies with a small percentage because they are at least making an effort to socialize, but then give a larger upvote percentage to replies that have more effort, thought and overall value.

Once you reach a certain level you'll be able to do that. As you look at every one else's comments they have $0.04 from my upvote. I up voted you at 25% and as you can see that alloted you much less. Thanks for posting, Steem on!
