Jihad with the war that occurred in the time of the Prophet Muhammad SAW is a war to defend the rights of life of Muslims who were attacked first. In addition war is also done to defend the weak.
This is different nowadays in which the question of world security has been regulated by the UN so that it is not possible to attack the Muslims as in the past.
This was conveyed by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Ad-Dawoody in the Tashwirul Afkar discussion initiated by the Nahdlatul Ulama Human Resource Development Institute (Lakpesdam NU) entitled International Humanitarian Law Challenges and Islamic Laws on Contemporary Armed Conflict at Central Jakarta Headquarters Building, Friday (29/7) afternoon .
Ahmed explained what Muslims need to show is to maintain the self-essence of Muslims, but not to attack non-Muslims.
About the jihad of many verses that speak in the perspective of Islamic law. One of them in the Qur'an Surat At-Taubah verse 9.
Unfortunately, Ahmed says, interpreters do what they consider jihad to see this verse only in fragments. Whereas in interpreting a verse one must understand the Arabic rules of procedure and other rules of interpretation. It can not be done by just anyone.
Ahmed added that a law must adjust time (time) and place. The rules of war also need to relate to other disciplines.
The rule of law on war becomes an important thing in Muslim relationships with fellow Muslims, Muslims and non-Muslims, Muslims within a country, and between countries.
Exactly!!!
Some matyrs dont understand what they die for...no offence.

And i know this for sure, but many people mis-interpret the holy Qu'ran!
