hehehe. have fun on this. cant vote for this too low voting power. :(

;)

now we can all sleep after this meme. regenerate that voting power.

Just wanted to let you know @craig-grant, this is the reason I'm now following you.

Wtf they even talm bout?! A man can't tend to his own garden before he start feeding the community? People got some nerve...and the worst part they really took some time out of their day to compose that bullshit 😒 I usually dont react to what others say but c'mon man. How can you even use phrases like "hurting the community" and "potentially harmful actions" when you talking about what someone is doing with their own earnings (STEEM Power). Creating bots and shit trying to regulate what people do on a decentralized network is contradictory in itself.

Good points made!

yupyupyupyup!

A lot of people instead of working on their content like to play Robin Hood and check other people's pocket. That reply and upvote right in front guy's eyes, looool.

"play Robin Hood" that's a good observation!

That is also a good approad and I am seeing that you doing it with your wealth and giving to others as upvote. Just followed you to get some share from your upvotes in coming days and months :)
You are doing great.

We're all in this together. Create wealth and spread it. Help others and you will be blessed!

Yes I am trying to do the same. Spreading my earnings. It is just my 2nd.week here.

If.you can see my latest post on give-away at reaching 200 followers.. you will appreciate it I guess.

I will continue to do such or even better giveaway and I know that I will get the support of some dolphin or whales in such giveaways sooner or later as my intentions are to share from rewards I am getting here.

@cryptokraze same here. Two weeks into this awesome place and I am using the same strategy. Upvoting everyone who comments and spreading the love. Following you now to work together knowing you are doing the same.

You've earned the right to upvote yourself after investing in Steem Power and thus the long term potential of the Steemit platform every day since joining last year. If anything, you're a constant inspiration to all of us to always power up our Steem and invest more of our BTC into Steem Power to make our upvotes ultra powerful! Screw the haters, keep smashing it Craig!

@craig-grant has invested a lot into Steem. He is helping others and he's helping himself too! Good for him!

Yup exactly @kus-knee - Craig has done a lot for Steemit and continues to help all Steemians on a regular basis. He's the man!

yea very true

I believe upvoting yourself should be possible but maybe it can be restricted in some sense that you can only upvote yourself to 50% power or something. Otherwise it could make this system unbalanced which wouldn't be attractive to the mainstream. But until that happens, I will continue to upvote myself :P

craig makes haters cry

There you go! If up voting your self doesn't do it then you can resteem your comment about it and turn it into a post. Genius!

Sign up to bitconnect and convert the BTC to steempower and/or go to Genesis mining and send some of the mined BTC to buy steempower. Upvote 100% of your posts. I mean there is a method to this thing.

It sure looks like a glitch in the system we shouldn't be able to do 😄

I think of it like mining. If a person invests in a lot of mining equipment they are going to obviously receive more rewards than someone with small hashing power. Same goes with Steem Power. If someone invests in a lot of Steem Power they are going to get the most rewards.

Being able to upvote yourself is one of the biggest reason to lock Steem away as Steem Power. Only time it's bad is when some spams a post just to upvote themselfs.

I can say it was an effective approach of you @craig-grant it encourages me to buy my cryptocurrency out there to be converted in steem because it gets me excited every time... I think more people thinking the same way when they see a few dollars in their blogpost

I see no harm in self voting I mean if we purchased steem power we can self vote.
And at tje same time craig is also giving upvote to minnows and others as well. So it is perfectly fine. Imagine a user having self vote value of $0.05 and he gets an upvote from craig worth $5 then it is great even if he gets once a week.

This comment has received a 0.09 % upvote from @booster thanks to: @cryptokraze.

What a ridiculous claim that you shouldn't be able to upvote yourself. If a whale has earned or invested into SteemPower the sole decision on how to use the power is on him/her. And he is assuming a lot on what the whales do with the rewards. For example Craig is on here every freaking day posting blogs and sharing videos spreading knowledge about crypto, he is re-investing the SteemPower not running away with the rewards. All of these people who have a problem with how SteemIt works have an easy solution to their problem - find a different platform with different rules.

i feel as if the "like it or leave" attitude is a little harsh, steemit is a strong community, no reason why the people of this platform can't come together and discuss things that they disagree on

  ·  8 years ago (edited)

Yeah I thought about it more and it is kind of mean. Hopefully we can have civil discourse and have respect for one another. We can have a proper discussion and disagree is what we should be aiming for.

amen!

Can't be more agreed with you. Actually it is a risk to have to much Steem Power Since Steem is a volatile currency.

Steem is only volatile if craig-grant powers-up/down

hahah

all is about money

You were the reason why I joined steemit. Thanks to all your youtube videos! Would you mind checking out my recent post? I think it could benefit steemit further!

https://steemit.com/steemit/@becerra18/steem-to-the-moon-t-shirt

Thanks Craig!

Well it's your power, you can do whatever you want with it ! XD

i think i agree with that but i'm not 100% sure because it makes me think of large businesses that can choose to use their money to lobby the government and support/reward politicians that vote in ways that pleases them, which idk if it is wrong atleast legally but it feels wrong. idk if this is similar to the steemit issue.

i personally upvote myself, in particular good comments that i make because i want them to show up higher on the list of comments because i find them valuable and want it to be easier for others to see as well.

I'm basically saying that this issue may not be black and white

seriously! literally exactly what you just said!

Don't forget @craig-grant was here 11 months ago when this place was dead and him and others kept this place alive to make it what is is today. He gives enough as I see it too.

Sure why not?

Two Words: Self-Promotion.

Who's to say it's bad?

A wise man once told me PAY YOURSELF FIRST & my dad was a very wise man. I truly believe in that method. You should pay yourself first, before the bill man, before anything else because you worked & earned that financial gain for yourself. Afterwards pay everything else. Great tip for saving!

Haters gonna hate

Well said!

You can watch my short steem power video fail on my blog! I will be very grateful if you upvote :)

haha you are the real deal, i follow

Great post Craig, and I fully agree with you that there is nothing wrong with hording Steem Power and using it to upvote some of your own posts/comments to help get them in front of more eyes. I am somewhat new to Steemit (started just over a week ago, but am over 130 followers already) and since I tend to talk about more sensitive topics such as 9/11 and other conspiracy's (notice how I didn't use the word THEORY) I find that it is really hard to get any real traction from others so I must upvote myself to even start to get any traction on most of my posts. With that added traction I tend to get more views and followers, and when I get followers I make sure to follow them back, and when I get upvoted I make sure to upvote back, and when I get commented I make sure to try to answer each one with a response. Basically if you help yourself first, it enables you to better help others down the line, and I don't see anything wrong with that. Anyways keep up the good work, and FULL STEEM AHEAD!

  ·  8 years ago (edited)

Well said @craig-grant !

The people are badly accustomed, where the State gives everything for free.

If you want to win you have to work hard, as you did and hope that one day I can get there. But for this we must work and be patient.

Congratulations!

Sir upvote my also ! Hehe
I need some followers too
🙈 @craig-grant

I personally don't there there is anything wrong in promoting our-self . It's a kind of marketing . When we invest in something ,we always do in order to get a better return. And who doesn't love to earn more!!

There you go! Buy steem power to increase your upvote influence. nobody would do it on your behalf! I have been saying it recently. the secrets on steemit are easy to see and everywhere. it is such a transparent network it is so hard to believe. BUY STEEM or CONVERT YOUR REWARDS TO STEEM. Power-up and control your upvote rewards @craig-grant thanks for sharing and for all your enlightenment.

  ·  8 years ago (edited)

Why is everyone talking about self voting as problem? Here's one of the post where he says he will be flagging people who votes on their own comments https://steemit.com/steemit/@ethical-ai/punishing-rabid-self-upvoting-of-comments

Thanks for sharing how that works @craig-grant

Good...

very interesting.....

@craig-grant helped probably more people get some SP then almost any other on this network . Why not use your hard earner SP to keep your own posts and comments generating cash? Don't hate the player, hate the game.

  ·  8 years ago (edited)

have fun be FREE

Preach it Craig!

If u buy it . There is no harm in using it. I do it sometimes and im not a whale. Still making content . Still using the platform and profit goes to SP to reward followers to.

This entire conversation is getting out of hand

it was built INTO the system, the coders knew this would happen, so why are so many people acting as if this is some sort of apocalyptic scenario happening, if its in the code, theres no problem with it, they cleared wanted this to happen

especially because it also helps SMALLER users push their way to the top as well

  ·  8 years ago (edited)

hmmmm...i didnt know that voting for yourself hurts the community. I might be kinda upset if i see, but its ok now I guess.haha. dont really understand how all the systems work yet. thanks craig. you the best for helping out the dolphins and minnows! I'm hoping to become dolphin soon!

Everyone can use their votes as they wish. I think he is just jealous, you know ? And I agree with your comment.

Kindly enlighten how to get more steem power ?

well I don't have much to say but the whales should please help us newbies by upvoting our coments too...thanks

Are you serious? i need the proof

Hi, friend
I love to post you this one, Gives me a lot of motivation.
Hopefully you always post news like this, and give benefits to everyone.
May God always bless you and your family. 😍

Couldn't agree more. If you got the power why not use it?

Getting in that much steempower that you are able to upvote others for good money takes courrage and belief in steemit and steem. A little reward on that investment must be allowed, especially as you are really active as you are

i want to get high steem power

Some people are just bitter.

  ·  8 years ago (edited)

plus

Good job craig that's the meaning of freedom

  ·  8 years ago (edited)

That is a good answer! xD

The wonderful thing about decentralized systems is no one persons opinion can dictate how things will be. Your doing good things for people, keep it up. Its because of you and @trevonjb that I'm on here

  ·  8 years ago (edited)

Half the story, but well played none-the-less.

I was responding to someone's question, "How your upvote worth 40$ ?? please help us I am new here!!" in this post ~>

I even upvoted your comment @graig-grant because I was being taught and you were being respectful.
I did nothing to disrespect you. And you chose to do this?
Man, I thought you were classier than that. And yes, I know I'm killing my chances on steemit by doing this. Yet as they say, wtf ever. I'll still enjoy the Argentina sunshine and steem on.
It is true.... if I stopped provoking or voicing my opinions and just follow your example maybe one day I'd be as successful as you. Except I value people, real people, over profits anyday.
I guess I'm pretty good at making enemies.... atm he's produced $65 taking my words out of context to attack me, and yet hasn't upvoted or commented or resteemed anything of mine in return. Where's my piece or the pie, oh great and powerful Oz? Oh, that's right; you're too busy shoving it all down your own throat I see.
Alright, I said that out of anger to make a point. I don't give a flying fk if he does or doesn't support me.
I know I fkt up, just wish you would have taken a more mature route to set me on the right path. That's all.
But whatever, best to just keep my mouth shut (despite being twice your age).
Thank You.

Good reply and that's a valid response.

I have to admit that it's been one of the things confusing me - as a newbie. But, I agree with most of the comments that you should be able to spend your hard-earned 'steam power' however you like. If you're creating crap content then I guess that no-one else will up vote you anyway so you achieve very little.

  ·  8 years ago (edited)

I don't know about @craig-grant but after HF19 I find that after 20 minutes of posting an article I have 0 votes, so I upvote myself, of course my VP is not on the level of @craig-grant, but the thing is after I get my own vote all of a sudden a few people start upvoting me, so I have to upvote myself or else make 0.00 on my posts. People are not voting as much as before and seem to need a little push to vote for you. If I had the VP he has I would also upvote myself, I see nothing wrong with it.

I have no problem with @craig-grant self voting himself. He has brought plenty of people to this platform and I've seen him upvote plenty of other people. If he feels like voting himself up by all means do so. If I were him I probably would as well since it brings more publicity to his post.

Nice power bro! xD

Very true

I agree. The little people need help also. At one time they were small also and someone helped them out. One is more blessed when the help or try to help others.

If I had such a power of Steem, I too could not resist, and voted for myself :)

Amazing how people come to an 'OPEN PLATFORM' and are so USED to having CONTROL over what other people can or will do and want to implement their LIMITED idea of how shxx should work,

BUT at the SAME TIME have it BENEFIT THEM the MOST!!

Freakin' Amazing = Don't upvote yourself, upvote me so I can get money from YOU that you earned, bought or were given, so that 'I can benefit off of YOU' but YOU MUST be left to other people's decisions (LIKE MINE) to like and upvote your content or NOT.

I feel like these ideas are abusive to Steemit. How about I start FLAGGING all this shxx that looks like people trying to CLOSE an OPEN SYSTEM. How about I use my un-POWER to do what I WANT instead of BEGGING and feeling sorry for myself because "I'm NOT in 'his/her' position" to do what I want or upvote myself with enough money (right now), so 'I'm going to complain' and maybe make it harder for everyone (in the future) that is currently aspiring to be able to give themselves AND OTHERS credit where it is due.
