INTERACTIVE BATTLE TOURNAMENT#9 - BOSS ROUND FIGHT

in steem •  6 years ago

Having more closely read through some of the stats posts, I think something is off here, but not necessarily with @focusfit.

@focusfit had 4 flawless victories in the first 5 stages and banked 12 out of 15 possible life points, failing only on Stage 4. @focusfit then lost his Gobbo gamble on Stage 6, bringing him down to 11 banked life points.

You had 4 flawless victories and 13 banked life points through the first 5 stages yourself, and you were listed as level 2. Clearly if you didn't qualify for level 3 and the !special command, then neither should @focusfit.

However, there is a problem when we get to @artlover and @culgin, who both banked 14 life points. @artlover was incorrectly listed as banking 15 life points despite losing one on Stage 5. @culgin got stuck with level 2 despite banking 14 life points and a listed win ratio of 94% (in fact, 14/15 = 93.333333...%).

Thus, if your standard is a win ratio of 95%, then the standard is effectively the same as IBT #8, as perfection would be the only way to achieve that standard.

So we now have a dilemma as to how fairly resolve this. Either we throw out both of @artlover's attempts and make them re-roll using regular class commands, or we throw out @culgin's rolls and give them two chances at the !special command -- @culgin is currently 4th and if @artlover's rolls stand, then @culgin can only reach top 3 by rolling a 15.

It's your call @lordnigel. If you go with throwing out @culgin's rolls, you'll need to make a manual adjustment to their stats and set them at character level 3.

Sort Order:

Firstly 95%+ was a figure I just pulled out the air the precise math is rank = (Math.floor(bankedlife/5));
So yeah, by this math you would need a perfect score (15) - my mistake on the 95%+ , should have been 100% flat.
-I had in mind for people to get bonus life, but didnt get to implementing in this ibt..

-As Art lover has already rolled, I'd hate to recede.. I'm surpised the system accidentally didn't detect a loss are you sure on this?

If your sure we will downgrade @artlovers roll to a high difficulty hit (12). It seems the fairest way, else we may have other players with same issue..i.e. basically stay with the fact unless you got 100% you can't run the !special..if for some crazy reason it allowed, we do the same thing and downgrade to the highest difficult hit..

Worse case you and i chat about what is a fair thing and we can even have 4th of 5th places - I will throw in more steem prizes

Cheers

A -3 (downgrading from 15 to 12) to @artlover's roll it is then. That makes @artlover's final score 29.

2nd boss roll validated. 10 (roll) + 11 (banked life points) + 3 (ibtluckydip) = 24

Final boss round score = 24

1st boss roll validated. 0 (roll) + 11 (banked life points) + 3 (ibtluckydip) = 14
