Around 2pm EST, I noticed that there was a crypto-wide sell-off to the tune of about 15% per. I decided to log onto some of the exchanges that I use, but after failing to be able to enter either Coinbase or BTC-e, I got suspicious. Twitter confirms that BTC-e had confirmed DDOS attack.

Are there any other examples of this happening? This looks like a clear case of market manipulation as it happened alongside a huge drop in crypto price. Thoughts?

The manipulators NEED to stop this freight train. After all they have done in the past, there is nothing they won't do to try to remain in power/control. Don't know if the hack was them, but they sure wouldn't be upsed about it and it would give them free reigns to sell the market downward while inhibiting buy side orders, thereby maximizing the drop.

They can't stop wont stop this freight train!
