Reasons Steem Will Be $100+

Last February Connor Kenny discussed why the price of Steem will breach $100. For a number of months I have been working on a project that will do this. The first posts on the subject can be found here.

While we are not ready for the full roll out, we have added a couple of examples of hosts to do a load tests ...

Check out sweetsssj who loads fairly slowly and eljose27

I invite anyone to visit those pages, and use steemconnect to turn on the additional features that are available.

Over the next few days we will be adding a feature which I consider fairly exciting. It is a system which will reward visitors and hosts. At the time of writing, 1/2 of the new function has been developed. This function will allow advertisements to be sold on the platform and will be paid out when a visitor visits a hosted page.

Consider the following scenario

In that town 1/2 dozen Steemians agree to post content about local events. As you can imagine, if all these posts were available in one website you have the foundation for an online local magazine. A food bank in a small town wants to generate income. The person representing the food bank can create a host profile and add each of the local steemians to become "contributors". This creates the local magazine. The people in that community can approach local businesses to place ads on the site. Eventually I can see the steemhosted sites to look like this online magazine: http://lindsayadvocate.ca/

  • When an advertiser places an advertisement on steemhost, it needs to be paid in Steem or Steem Dollars.
This will increase the demand for the steem (causing it to increase in price)

  • Rewards will go to the host and the visitor
This is one of those examples of the paradigm shift where a visitor to a website gets paid to visit and read the content. Clicking on the post to read in full sends the visitor to steemit.com or busy.org (so they can vote, resteem, comment etc) but the visitor gets paid to view the listing of the articles on the steemhost site. Additionally the host gets rewarded for the visitors landing on their site. If the visitor is not logged in with steemconnect, the host also receives the visitors reward.

  • Rewards will go to the host and the visitor in the form of steem delegation.
The reason that the rewards will be in the form of steem delegation instead of steem or steem dollars is to support the value of steem. Imagine that food bank earns 1000 steem. It would convert that steem to dollars causing downward pressure on the price of steem. Instead the food bank would receive 1000 steem delegation. This means that each post or curation that they make generates additional income.

Of course there will be rules on the rewards and I am interested in reading any suggestions or answering any questions.
