Feeling Like A Content Creator Again

Last 2 years on STEEM, I was creating content while being aware how it won't get recognized.

The hype that maybe some stranger will recognize value in my content vanished really fast... maybe 2 months after I joined the platform

Faster than you know it, my only way of getting any kind of return on my content was using bid-bots.

So yeah, I was using bid bots... showing off to my friend how I got 15% profits while hitting a bid bot, and shit. lol

My point is... this place was a complete mess in some ways, yes, some percentage was here, in terms of profit...

But the whole feeling around this whole thing, the energy, it really wasn't good... It was shit to be precise.

Long time I was convinced how I'm doing something wrong... create better content, I thought to myself

Then I realized that HQ content is left without upvotes regularly. Fuck it, we had some true gems here over the years but majority of them left for a single reason

It was too fucking hard to make it on STEEM. It was too fucking hard to get that $0.2 upvote and feel like someone actually gives a fuck about you

And you might be like, what are you talking? I'm aware it wasn't like that at the beginning... but from the moment I arrived, around June 2017, better believe me it was always like that.

Fucked. up. shit.

My friend who is the best Croatian stuntman was once super-excited about STEEM... he was thinking of taking completely different direction in his career, go digital

He was ready to jump from buildings for STEEM, without a parachute

But yeah, he like many others, got ignored while trying to make people aware of his existence

Why did he get ignored? The reason is simple, cause of inability to see above the wall of bricks.

So yeah obviously, he left, like many others did. But who the fuck cares right?

I don't even care cause I know it its how it must be.

Partially its their fault cause they didn't realize the potential, and couldn't stick here through the worst times...

But in all honesty, it would still be better if we could have hodl onto the gems that walked here.

Right now things are getting better. Many authors are happier than ever, and everyone who is putting the work in - is getting noticed

That's how it should have been from the start, but better late than never I guess.

As an author myself, I feel respected when someone notices the work I put in.

There is no better feeling than realizing that someone realized that you inputted 5 hours of your time just to create a 7 minute video... and it feels damn good creating content with that perspective

That's a game changing perspective, cause now, I'm doing content out of pure joy

The joy doesn't lay in the money, but the fact that you are giving your time to the platform and getting valued for that. Its a simple universal law...
