If this reverses permanently, I don't know what will be doomed... BTC or altcoins?
It could turn out to be great on the long run for altcoins, but right now I am concerned about this development.

Yep. This is something I've been waiting for. BTC doesn't have good enough fundamentals to lead the blockchain revolution. BTC is like DOOM. At first all FPS games were called DOOM-clones (even though it wasn't the first FPS). But the only DOOM most people are willing to play is the 2016 version.

Many of these ALT COINS have no business trading
Absolutely no use for of them,
Many traders just fall in love with fancy websites and the story behind them
, they will slowly but surely cease to exist ,
IMO these aren’t buying opportunities but a warning of what’s to come ,
They will loose market share and bitcoin will just get bigger as a result
Stick with BTC.and stay away from almost all alt coins

Maybe... but I read BTG would initially sell at 0.1BTC. Why desperately sell alts 20% cheaper? And I also doubt BTG will trade higher than BCH... and finally: there is the SegWit2X next month. So if this is happenig more than two weeks in advance it may continue until November.

I think you may be correct a sell off of ALTs to get in on BTC for free BTG - do you think once BTG is issues it will be dumped and money move back to ALTs or will people stay in BTC for segwit2x fork as well ?

I lease SP every week for 4 weeks so I always have maximum amount of SP leased. I currently use 80% of my weekly powerdown to lease the SP ;-)

I think that most people are stupid and have been lost in the free BTCgold zone.
Too early? They don't care.
They think the earlier they act the cheaper they will get their BTC and they are correct so far.

So, maybe we are the stupid ones.

Not really. I doubt BTG will take off like BCH. GPUs are already on Monero and a bunch of other coins. People are tired of forks. I don't see much futures interest. BTG doesn't really have much going. BCH scaled itself X4 while still being the good old Bitcoin. BTG is pretty much GPU mined BTC with X2 block size. People are mostly going crazy because what happened on Aug 1st. It's no guarantee of future performance.

Cryptos are too volatile to make us look like fools for not buying in early enough. Euphoria won't last too long.
