Hey, a question

in steem •  6 years ago

So I thought I was having some decent success gaining followers, but then I was scanning through them and I found several people who had no posts or responses at all, but somehow had many more followers than I do. Also, my best liked post so far has 6 upvotes, heh.

So I know that at least several of the followers I have are bots or essentially ads for ways to buy votes, so I get not all of them are gonna translate into actual votes, but it seems like a rather steep drop off even with that.

So I'm asking. Any tips out there for how to get your stuff out there without outright selling your votes or buying them from others? My buddy @dustinseth on here posts on a weekly open mic and that seems to garner a lot of attention, anything similar for writing out there?

I know this is kinda asking others to do the work for me, but honestly I dipped a toe into all the steem economy stuff and it is...obtuse to say the least. Moreover, I really don't have the time...I pull a full time job and have a kid, heh. So any advice will be super appreciated.

And hey worst case this post just gets no responses and I keep my head down and keep posting, no harm done, right?
