I was trying to open the steem
project to view the code with the help of some IDE. My first choice was Intellij CLion because I have such a good experience using it with Scala/JVM project.
When I opened the project though it took a loooong time time to index the files and perform all the code analysis. In fact it’s still there running.
Next I’m going to try with Eclipse and if that doesn’t work, I’ll probably go back to trusty emacs
.
What IDE do you use if you are a steem developer?
Clion for ccp files, Webstorm for the website parts

CLion? Do you reckon I would just need a beefier system so? I'm currently using a macbook.

That's wierd, because the original sourcecode should run fine.
What does your run configuration look like.

Actually I didn't even try to run. I was just wondering if the code analysis is supposed to take this much time.
