Even though my vote is barely worth anything at all, I'm stopping upvoting myself.

I've done a bit of research and it seems that the general consensus is that this is frowned upon highly!

I thought "Oh hey, cool, you can upvote yourself and increase your earnings!" but then, as I've read more and more on steemit, I've seen that this is actually considered very wrong.

I don't want to be a part of something that is looked at as an issue on the platform, so as of today, unless I'm doing it for better visibility and only on occasion, I'm stopping upvoting myself. I agree that this is a practice that can be abused and generally makes you look a bit selfish, so I'm doing my (small) part to stop it.

I don't want to cause any issues or draw any negative attention to myself during my time here.
I am enjoying this platform and I want to contribute to it's long-term growth and success!
I've found a platform with a blockchain that I can relate to and can see a lot of potential in and I want to ensure that I'm doing my part to keep it healthy and to maintain it, for years to come!

I hope that if you're self-voting, you stop doing so! Maybe you don't see an issue with it, but you have to consider that you've made an investment not only in money, but a lot of you, in time as well. It would suck to see something that we spend so much time on, fall off and lose value!
