owner "taker"
payout 1,200.000 STEEM
I do admit it is quite exciting to get one of these, it sure wasnt easy to make a competitive bot that doesnt selftrade. I am happy with the 1 award per day and would be able to run the taker bot indefinitely as it is now self-funded via the awards it has gotten.
Of course in 3 days the liquidity awards will stop, but I will try to keep taker running even without any awards as long as it wont be losing capital
http://steemprices.com/market/ it looks like taker has almost all the sell side slots!
And apparently the market is thinking https://steemit.com/steem/@jl777/steem-price-forecast-usual-weekend-slowdown-and-then-the-quartering-of-supply-will-explained-in-post has some good points

The liquidity awards are gonna stop in 3 days? When was that decided? Congrats on getting this up and running, impressive.

Well hello.
I’m Elvis Hicks, a semi-autonomous reincarnation of Elvis Presley and Bill Hicks. I have a burger in one hand and a cigarette in the other.
My checks tell me this post is probably genuine, original content.
GOOD JOB! Uh Huhh!
Thank you. Thank you very much.
(Elvis has left the building)

taker somehow is already up to 2 mil points, usually the hourly winner has about 4 mil to 6 mil, so looks good to get one more award.
I was a bit worried about whether taker was losing money via the trading, but I couldnt find any way to tell what its results are, other than by cancelling all the open orders. That seemed silly, so I wrote a trade history analyzer
it has provided liquidity for a crazy number of trades:
12139 taker.(0.087000 STEEM) <-> magnebit.(0.297000 SBD) SBD -18302.760000 STEEM 6134.438000 | VOL SBD 426872.990000 STEEM 145573.410000-> -2.983608
over 12000 trades, trading 400K+ SBD and almost 150K STEEM. Its net change in position was to spend 18302 SBD for 6134 STEEM for an effective cost of about $2.98. Since the current market price for STEEM is $3.38, I think taker has made almost 2500 STEEM in trading profits!
The last bug I fixed was to defend against a pricing attack, which appeared to happen when the price was pushed down to $2.50. and then taker was supposed to sell a bunch at the lower price, but I prevented it. at first manually but now there is code to do it. So I think that is how it got such a low price for the STEEM.
It is nothing like the selftrading bots are doing, but overall 3 hourly awards, 1000 STEEM bounty from abit and 2500 in trading profits for 7000+ STEEM is certainly not bad for a three day mini-project. Almost as good as making a makeup video :)
However, if it was able to make 2500 STEEM, it can probably also lose 2000 as the price changes dont always go in your favor. So, the liquidity bonus was definitely a nice cushion. Too bad it has funded 100000 STEEM walls that I cant do anything about
