This is also good news for communities using languages other than English! A different language, still mining with minds but the SAME currency! That's powerful!

- Korea with 8.6% of page views and an extrapolated 15,050 unique visitors per day!
- Germany with 4.7% of the users has a robust German language community!
- Italy with 2.4% of the page views is steadily increasing in the number of Italian language posts!
- Spain has 5.2% of page views and as the Spanish language blossoms just watch what happens!
An examination of the chart reveals that almost all of the top 30 countries list Steemit.com as ranked between 619 and 3,00o of the most visited sites in their nation!

These growth metrics are very nice to see. One thing I didn't realize when I first learned about Steem and created an account was the potential for many apps to be built alongside or onto the platform (DTube for example). Seeing these new features develop has enhanced my view of Steem.
I'm excited to be here in the early days and it brings to mind when I began using Mozilla Firefox at version 0.9. At that time Internet Explorer was still dominant (and terrible). It's gratifying to look back at that since Firefox has become a popular browser. I would imagine many of us will be able to look back in several years with good feelings about being involved in the early days of Steem and it's related projects.
One concern I have for the future is the diversity of languages shown when browsing. The fact that Steem is growing worldwide is fantastic but the user experience seems diminished when scrolling through Trending items shows various headlines in non-native languages. When viewing the Trending, New and Hot feeds wouldn't it be better for English readers to see only English posts, Korean readers to see only Korean posts and so on (unless specifically choosing to do otherwise)? Am I missing something?

About the statistics; the very good part from it shows that there is so much potential for growth. And we should spread the information and explain others why they should use STEEM.

I'm quite encouraged by these stats and I'm sure the trend is going to continue upwards.
It's inevitable that the Steem blockchain is going to empower people from all over the world (I for one am not from an English speaking country) and I expect a lot of growth from developing nations since there earning just a few dollars a day gets you much closer to a living wage than the same amount would in the US. This is going to be especially true for countries where the general population knows English like India and Nigeria, so the people from there can easily interact with the Steemit community at large in English (and mine with their brains).
I'm really excited to be an early adopter and I'm trying to put conscious effort into keeping active here.
I'm happy about the number of apps around Steem, but I think the launch of SMT would lead to a real upturn in the usage of the Steem blockchain.

My Dad continuously tells me that we're early adopters here on Steemit. That there is so much potential. I wish I had been just a month earlier, however, but I need to let that one go. Yes, the numbers are looking good and the apps being created are very encouraging. The statistics speak for themselves! When I begun to post in Steemit in January, 1 Steem was only between 12 and 7 cents, and now more than 10 times stronger! I think I'm very lucky with it! In Hungary there are only very few steemians, or I don't know them. I think the biggest obstacle is the lack of knowing foreign languages. Hungarians are known to be bad students of foreign languages, and I have the same problem. Otherwise, I hope Steemit will spread in my country. I try to popularize it.
I think Steem will be as strong as BTC, and I will be happy if I'll not need to exchange it to BTC, then Euro (fees are so high!) We need Steem card!
I've tried a lot of internet money-making opportunities, but Steemit is much-much better than any of them, and in addition, the community is also great!
There are so great applications that help us to develop. I don't use all of them yet (no time!)
