Why the pending payouts are dropping

in steem •  7 years ago

Hello Steemians!

Does anyone have notice the pending payouts are dropping?

I have experience a significant drop of my payouts for as far as 0.3 SBD.
I thought maybe someone retracted their vote, but I do a little research and appears it is a common thing and nothing to worry about.

The reason for this is because the price of the Steem has dropped for 7,76 %.
So currently one Steem is worth 1,23 SBD.

It is not the first time I noticed this, but on the bright side when the price goes up, I expect to see some inflation going on.
And hopefully the pending payouts are gonna go up.

Just a minor sit-back!

Soon everything is going to be back to normal.

Enjoy!

Thank you so much for resteem!!!
I appreciate it ;)
Talk to you soon :)

you are welcome...my friend :)

@markosky - Payouts that you see below your post are in USD Currency.
If current STEEM price is dropping on the currency exchange market (and it does), your payouts will drop, same speed as steem value is dropping. Also you will notice that when steem price is going up your payouts will also be higher, without getting new upvotes.

Point: It varies from the price of a STEEM comparing to USD.

Cheers

Thats the plan my friend! Trying!! haha
Thanks for the response and consider yourself followed :)

thank you :)

I, too, have noticed a significant drop as the pay out date approaches. I'm not going to claim to know any ins and outs of steemit and how the determination of pay out, UPvotes and resteem seem to be a factor (with the exception of dolphins and mostly whales who UPvote and give your some of their power <-- not even sure if the verbage is correct here). But I just keep writing, blogging and commenting.
All in due time and with great persistence and patience, right?

Yes exactly! :)

Yep I did notice but had no idea why, thanks

No problem :)

It used to fluctuate much more a few months back but generally now the pending payouts are fairly stable but as you said one of the key drivers is the price of steem. If that drops or rises, the daily payout pool adjusts accordingly.

Yes, I hope it will rise :) Basically it falls and rises all the time, but if you compare inflation in general it will only go up :)

Ya, there's like fluctuation going on when I am tracking the payout.

Yes there is ;)

However, this affects everyone I presume?

Yes! if you go to the currency Market from your drop list or wallet, where you can buy steem for SBD, you can see the price. Today has been dropped even more -9%. My payouts are dropped for at least 0,5 SBD... damn

Today SBD price slightly climbed... can't control that :(

Yes I just looked the charts my friend :)
