Thousands of (failing) social media websites vs Facebook. I know which I'd rather be!

The social media landscape shows where the trend is going... Audiences are congregating around a handful mega sites.

Done right I'd bet on a single decentralised blockchain social media platform/ token (e.g. Steem and it's apps) succeeding, over thousands of tokens/ sites with limited or no usage.

The premise of the OP is value flowing back to STEEM, it would make sense to make the core product... well, valuable.

This takes time. Steemit isn't meant to be mainstream in 5 months. Of course the founders would want it to be. But it needs to naturally grow it's content base, and gain value.

Steem can differentiate from other cryptos by having a underlying value: thousands of articles with useful information.

Or it can be a useless platform. With people spamming their comments, hoping to earn as much as possible. Before the platform dies out.

I'm personally spreading the word( p2p style )about the steemit social media platform on a daily basis. Let's HELP the world decentralize!!!! STEEMIT is the FUTURE!!!
