...hey there, I'm the new kid on the block and want to introduce myself to you in my first post.
I'm Claudia from Berlin and spend most of my leisure time planning and going on dive trips with my boyfriend who luckily is nearly as mad about diving as myself.
As there are fantastic dive spots all over the world, we enjoy travelling to far away places and explore different cultures.
It all started in 1996 when I first visited the Egyptian Red Sea and Luxor. I loved it so much that I returned again in 1997 with a school friend who got certified as Open Water Diver (OWD) during this holiday. I was snorkeling but didn't want to spend the money then for the course and somewhat forgot about it.
The idea of doing the OWD came up again over the years, and finally in 2014 I went to Egypt to do my OWD.
Why am I so mad about diving?
I learned everything about the different kinds of fish, corals and saw all kind of documentations and I even wanted to become a marine biologist. I am fascinated by the variety of life underwater and diving for me is like meditation. I'm only concentrated on the dive and forget everything else.
In my future posts I want to show you a bit of the places we've been to and what we're up to next.
