Use an ISO-639 language code with a dash for your preferred language before the topic. So for instance if you prefer to use Russian and want to post a news item you can use ru-news in the topic field.

Can we make a font of photos and basic internet language? Does basic internet language exist?

We should make it.

Word.

In the future, language is just memes.

Orwell wasn't thinking visually enough when he penned newspeak ;)

There's really no reason it couldn't service other languages as it is. There's admittedly no language filter, but topics could be made to allow people who don't primarily speak English to find one another and discuss things together.

If you'd like to see more variety in languages, just invite friends who speak the language you want to see better represented and help get that ball rolling ;). Language oriented features would only help if enough people were using it, so that's the first step.

WWW is not a country where you can decide what language is better or not! It could be good very good to have different language ! this is my personal opinion!

My apologies if it came off like I was saying English is somehow better. That wasn't my intention at all. If its any consolation, I find English to be a terrible language to be honest lol

I was just saying you can already use whichever language you choose here, the real factor is having other people who can also speak that language to discuss things with. For the moment, most users here speak English because the community is still small, but if more non-English speaking users join I expect you'll see lots of languages represented here soon enough. That would be a great thing to see, I agree with you :)

There are other language posts. You just have to look in the right categories. The ones starting with ko- are Korean, I know somebody has started those. They were worried others would downvote the posts if they appeared in the main English sections. There was a back-and-forth exchange not long ago or so with Dan about it in one of the threads and I think they came to a decision on how to handle those.
