Here are some notes from The Tai Lopez Social Media Marketing Agency Course

Its a brief overview you might find helpful if your just starting out in the digital market and have questions about LLC, taxes, domain purchase etc. These are notes regarding the processes involved with building a digital marketing agency from scratch. It was very helpful for me and if you find yourself in the early stages of your venture I hope it will do the same.

I've also posted a link at the bottom of the page to the annual Lurn Summit. All of the top leaders in the digital marketing field get together and exchange ideas. This is where you get the inside info that really gets you ahead.

Anyway here we go......

-YouTube is long-form marketing (24-hour long video) best place to brings the most value and keep users on platform

-Instagram is showcase of highlights/high quality pictures and Instagram story (older people)

-Facebook fan pages "I will create and manage one for you" profitable hybrid.

-Advertise through links, email leads, long videos (hyper-targeted core engine)

-Snapchat best for continuous feeds, good for the moment

-Twitter (the loud place), continuous posts. You don't have to worry about over posting. Average post 8 times a day.

-Email (non-social plat) - the lifeblood of marketing. Social media, website sales funnels, important but email is the most important. Best way to make $$$ and gain customer loyalty.

-Google ads the engine of the business, drives sales to us. Paid advertising (core engine)/Free advertising

Google & Facebook are two of the biggest engines in targeting local costumers

Snapchat- for niesh marketing, focused on teens and early '20s. Not for every company but could be a great tool
because you can't really over the post again

Summary

The different tunnels of social media break down to what each one can offer a business. People are prepared to watch a long video on YouTube but might not have the same attention span on Instagram. I can use Instagram to give a glimpse of the unique aspects of the business while using Facebook to hyper target people in the area and specific age groups who require that service.

The Business model

You will acquire 1-10 customers who will pay you a monthly fee of 1-5 thousand dollars a month automated
They can cancel anytime they want with a months notice
All you need is an iPhone and Internet connection
The goal is to make 1k-8k a month

The pitch is ->The benefit I'm going to bring to your business is I'm going to increase the amount of paying customer$

Meet with business owners (phone, email, person)
Give them a free business audit (look through business tell them what they're doing wrong and right)
check their website
99% percent of the business isn't advertising in there website correctly
Brand video on the front to tell the story of the business

-30-50% of people you give that free audit to will pay you to advertise the their company

-10 audits you get 3-5 customers (good numbers)

You're going to optimize their website. How to write it, set up a nice video, manage social media for them, Facebook fan page, email marketing.

Setting up for Success

-Paid Search marketing (Facebook, Google)

-Coming up with a brand name (don't name it after yourself just in case you want to sell it later ;-))

-Brand your name around and angle.

It should have the benefit in the name

People don't have time to figure out what you do
Directly convey the message in the title and people will be persuaded to pay
People want to know what you will do for them
Show them your absolute value as soon as possible and you will develop an instant report

  1. Don't use your own name
  2. Get a name that has a benefit
  3. You can change it over time
  4. You can have a holding name or doing business as a name that has a benefit for your customers

Summery

When going for the name be creative. Let the name reflect the service or product you intend to help them with. Don't use your own name especially If you intend to sell it later because it will turn off buyers $$$. The name can be changed and many generic names you can use At the beginning which most people won't even see.

Forming your company

Step 1 (name)
Step 2 (legal structure of the company)
Step 3 (website)

3 core elements of you starting a social media agency
Legally forming a company
Easy to do, (don't let a lawyer drag out the process)

Websites to legally form your company (legal zoom, incorporate.com, rocket lawyer)

LLC - (limited liability companies)
Get started with legal zoom, click on form an LLC, and fill out a questionnaire
The name of your agency can be different from you LLC (Rich holdings, Rich Ventures,) they will check if a name is available
Have your LLC be a 3 or 4-word name -> can be generic ex! Bob jay S holding inc
The website name can be the catchy one

Next thing is what state (does not have to be the state you live in)
Delaware is the most famous state to open up your LLC
Legal zoom will act as your registered agent
You need a mailbox and legal zoom will do that for a fee
Form an LLC, put the name in, pic Delaware (possibly Nevada or Florida, Montana, California)

*Does member manage or manager manage? Pic member manages ( if it's just you and no other partners).

Legal zoom will do it for a couple hundred,
It will help you when People sue you because it separates you from the business. It can truly be a lifesaver.
when should you bring in a lawyer?

How to get Lawyer for cheaper

1.offer exchange of service for some website work for them. Optimize there marketing in exchange for them doing the service.

  1. Can I pay you by the hour? Most lawyers are 150$ an hour so you can pay them. For just an hour you can get some guidance and it really only takes an hour or two.

Summary

There are a few loopholes presented here. Especially the fact that Delaware is the most popular due to the laws that protect business owners. You can use the exchange of services an bargain to get work for free plus if you offer one or two months free and they see an increase in there business they will pay to have the service continued.

Picking your domain name

You have to buy a domain name and check if they're available
Godaddy, namecheap.com
Simple search & just type in the name your thinking
Negotiate up to 20% off asking price for the domain name if its 5,000 domain offers 4,000
You can pay 1,000 a month for over and have it held in escrow which is a service GoDaddy offers.

If it's your first business don't splurge on a domain name it's less important than you think
Domain name link isn't important because most people will find you by clicking the link you provide or typing into Google and finding your site
Relatively simple words simple to spell simple to remember
Type in domain name 7-10$ usually available. (If the .com is not available don't use anything else).

Bulk domain search will help you to do it all at one time and search up to 500 domain names at once
Get the other secondary's as we'll (.net .org .info .me .tv .us .moby)

Name cheap gives you free privacy for one year
Make sure the payment goes through double check for email and confirmations
Make us the new ones shows up into your account, look for email recite in writing

Next is telling your story on social media

-What makes us different from the others is were certified
-I have a unique central approach for marketing which is called (brand storytelling)
-Snapchat MTV & Taco Bell (no storyline that the biggest downfall)
-The human brain doesn't learn by facts, it learns by stories
-Emotionally captivate people with your story and they will remember you
-Get customers to pay you 1-10,000 a month by adding tremendous value
-Overall scheme when managing there social media (exp instance, Facebook live, snapchat, Google PPC ( paid advertising, twitter boosted the post, Facebook boosted post) email marketing)
-Creating hooks for your customers something that connects with them immediately I'm the opening line
-A lot of websites don't have a story or a good hook to promote their business

1.The beginning is the hook
2.The middle is the plot (the storyline) drama that will attract people and make them question
3.The end is resolution the point where your client's customers will take action

The most business website will immediately ask for email or info and that's starting at the end No GOOD
Never start with an action, hook them and then provide a storyline to generate emotion
The hook can be a statistic or fact that will draw the person in
The plot needs characters, this is a good place to insert testimonials from customers who enjoyed using their services
Then at the end, you reveal the qualities of business and show why their expertise will benefit their customers.
This is done on the twitter Instagram Facebook & Facebook live as well. Draw up a story and their customers will respond well

How to set up your pricing $$$?

Goal - find a small business that will pay me to do there internet marking.

The biggest mistake small business owners make is undervaluing.

We will learn how to identify weakness in the websites of business
Sales funnel or lead generation funnel, social media channels, how much there posting, engagement level.

Summary

Identifying the weakness is definitely going to help me with rapport. To be able to show upfront value is an important part of gaining trust. Once you come off as pushy you will lose the sale. I'm going to remain cool and present the facts, my ideal client will be ready to spend whatever he has to. You have to make sure you don't undervalue yourself,

How to deal with not having experience

The first year you're in business just tell everyone the truth.

"I'll be honest with you I'm new at this but I'll be able to give you extra attention, I'm not bogged down by anything or past clients and you're going to get my full attention and focus".

A good closing rate is anywhere from 10-30%

It's All A Numbers Game

Getting clients is all a numbers game,
Most businesses are struggling because they have bad judgment
If they don't choose you it's a bad judgment call, you can help them tremendously through this process & there's a money back guarantee.
Be ok with the fact that not everybody is going to love you
Success takes about 18 from the time you start,
You should have your first customer within 4 months
18 months later you have 5-6 steady customers who are happily paying you an average of 3-5,000
5-6 customers paying 6-10 a month
The foundation is people with good judgment who realize I am the prize and they should be looking for me.
50 qualified business will give me 5 clients and a steady income.
I can contact business all over the world
Follow up sequence follows up every 30 days ($$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$)
500 business will be email blasted and they will call back eventually

Summary

This was a very interesting lesson. It boosted my confidence a lot because now I understand being rejected is not the end. If I'm patient I can definitely catch them down the line through an email blast and once the momentum they will follow up. I can follow up every 30 days and eventually I can pull $$$ out of ever space efficiently. I have to be organized with that part a make sure I keep a detailed log. I'm going to start setting daily goals and organizing how to efficiently go about my day. Even if it's just read a book for 15 mins, these little goals add up and will probably lead to amazing accomplishments down the line...this will be an interesting experiment.

Introduction to Twitter
Twitter is a tool where you can send mass messages a day (impossible to post to much on twitter
8 a day is the ideal amount of tweets for a business
Good to use to present ideas and practice and whatever tweets have the most retweets and likes you use that to promote on the other pages
"To optimize your website we can put xoxoxo and see which one gets the most engagement"
If you have a cool brand story you will get the following you desire
Before you go to a company look them up on social media and take and look to see if there value you can add instantly.

How to use Facebook advertising to get results for clients
Every client wants increased revenue
They need word of mouth and market exposure
For local b2c business the simple formula is this:
MORE EXPOSURE/ WOM = MORE CUSTOMERS = MORE REVENUE
for local b2b
MORE EXPOSURE/ WOM = MORE LEADS = MORE CUSTOMERS
= MORE REVENUE
KNOW YOUR MARKET and become an expert in the field
Focus on the marketing that helps get them the results they want
You need a digital marketing plan for all clients.

Types of Facebook Ads
Like ads (ads that directly influence the user to like)
Photo based engagement ads, it positively influences spreading messages to consumers who are not already fans
Give always / Contests - creates the most engagement and will spread virally
Video ads - Facebook posts that use video
Link page Ads - discount offer with a link directly to the website
You can target specific demographics in the market such as food lovers, income level, wine drinkers, etc

More money! , sales, increase revenue, growing there business
Social media doesn't make a difference if it doesn't help the business increase sales
Create a digital marketing plan for your customers

I took a look at your social media (give them some ideas) but not anything they could execute on (they wouldn't know what to really do anyway)
Never boost a post from the front of the news feed.
If some of the posts took off and some didn't they are boosting their post and their chances are slim to none, they will go for it all day long.
Send an article to educate without selling your service to your prospect by giving value first.
Ask them who their ideal customer is and help them get business. Use your contact to connect people and they will help you or become a customer for you.

How to get the motivation

Simple start with reprogramming the brain. It understands what it's seen, keep success in front of you
generate belief, keeps success in front of you, reaffirming and reprograms your mind
Say it from a real perspective and be excited about what is definitely coming to you.
