Are STEEM's competitors EOS/TRON over hyped and STEEM in underwater?

When EOS followers think that @dan is God of Blockchain and his son EOS is messiah of cryptocurrency, also EOS (Jesus) will save all the STEEMians from their sins of joining STEEM, the fallen angel, they are simply delusional.

Large codebase of any blockchain is a group work where somebody implements some portion of the overall system. A single developer may be a proficient coder for that part of the project not the whole system.

There is no Single God for blockchain but numerous gods and demigods type coders who reside all over the world due to open source nature of the project.

One of @dan's weaknesses was edified when he upvoted any derogatory remark on @ned or STEEM. He is no different egoistical god than @ned. They are just gods to their gullible worshipers.

Projects such as blockchains need dozens, in some cases, hundreds of developers. Some of these devs can work anonymously from anywhere in the world and still can contribute in big way. A visionary leader such as Satoshi Nakamoto or Vitalik Buterin is just an ambassador for the group of developers. In some cases, they are worse coders than other developers in the group. Consider, Steve Jobs's role versus Steve Wozniak's in the early stage of Apple.

Therefore, both @dan and Vitalik cannot make a great blockchain without a group of great developers.

One thing is quite obvious that Justin Sun of TRON and @dan of EOS are good orator and marketer. Both EOS or TRON's codebase may not be better than others but well marketed.

For example, EOS does not have single DApp running on its blockchain but holds marketcap in the top five similarly, TRON's hyperbole of having a Chinese App running on TRON that they claim to have 100M users.

TRON_scam.jpg

Here is a typical hyperbole on Justin Sun, co-founder of TRON: a prodigy and apprentice of Jack Ma, founder of Ali Baba. In fact, he is mere a graduate of Hupan University founded of by Jack Ma. Jack Ma might have instructed one or two classes over there that does not make Justin Sun, his direct prodigy or the next Jack Ma of Cryptocurrency. This kind of publicity is intentional, shrewd marketing ploy.

One other hand, @dan have better credibility of involving in three billion dollar blockchains: BTS, STEEM and EOS. But @dan is no godfather of STEEM or BTS, but big part of it. If EOS makes a better product than STEEM, because he has a better team perhaps better vision. That does not make STEEM inferior to EOS if STEEM is built by a better group of developers or early mover advantages.

STEEM blockchain is built upon STEEM's core developers and external developers who make DApps on it on daily basis. External developer's contributions have nothing to do with STEEM's core team. STEEM's core team have to build a blockcahin that should have easy-to-use APIs so that developers can work on it to make new and great DApps.

STEEM's success is built on the DApp developers, its large community and finally, investors. EOS or TRON is just another coin which may have some similarity still have to provide better blockcahin services so that external developers will work on and new community will be built on them. Time will tell how their finish product will perform.

However, STEEM needs to pump up its publicity though it may attract some greedy traders but it will attract new users and developers too. STEEM have achieved the trust of million of users and thousands of developers. It has to keep their trust by providing upgrades and updates in timely and competitive manner.

Your words bring comfort to my Steemy ears! Steem on!

everything has it's own advantages and disadvantages.. there's no point arguing.. people will me will jump to any ship that can make our miserable life better.. it doesn't matter if it's steem or eos or even any shitcoins whose value only increases through pump and dump.. as long as it's green I will be on board

Excellent explanation...

Not EOS. EOS has more potential than ethereum ans is an improved blockchain with much greater potential than steemit's blockchain.

Problem is, you don't have a clue about Dan's contributions to the blockchain tech.
The very platform you used to downplay his work would not exist if not for him.
As simple as that.
Dan invented the protocol that made Steem possible and lead development of graphene toolkit Steem uses.

I have very good idea how a single person can invent a protocol!

I am sorry, you did not get the sarcasm here. It is not about Dan's greatness, it is about worshiping Him as God and thinking that He knows all the solutions to all maladies of a blockchain (e.g. governance).

Maybe some people do 'worship' him, and no man is faultless, but Dan's achievements should not be understated. He is one of the founding fathers of blockchain tech.
