Always control the url and only enter your keys on steemit.com or steemconnect.com.
Basically you didn't get hacked but hacked yourself on a phishing website displaying fake steemconnect interface.
This shows how decentralized tech involve lot of responsibilities as regards controlling your money/keys and own security.

That is super brutal :( I'm so sorry you lost that much Steem, but I am glad you recovered your account and stopped the power down. How did you end up at a fake Steemconnect? I use Steemconnect all the time and now I'm freaked out about it.
