So i just got a text from a good friend @beavishoek he sends me a screenshot..
being on here three weeks less then me he says wtf does this mean? my sp just tanked he says. i look at mine still the same.
No message sent out no nothing they @steem halves delegation on his account and seems like a multitude of other accounts.
This is a very dick move if you ask me. No warning at all just halving the delegation of someone new who is doing well and enjoying steemit. My delegation stayed at 28.5 but my friend who i got into steem just got a slap in the face... If i was him i would definately be feeling the urge to punch the developers of this platform right in the throat. The real issue i have with this is the lack of reasoning as to why this happened. can anyone explain why that has happened to some but not others?

i dont know... my gf and cousin suffered same. halved... but mine wasnt touched. ive been on here longer. but i have been more active as well. not sure but its definately not a good practice if one wants the platform to grow... im looking for the common denominator here... the reasoning... have you put any money on steem? only thing i can think of. please... if your delegation has been halved but you put money on here please state so... no reasoning for the halving of sp is what pisses me off. these are the kind of things that will doom steemit to failure.

i can understand it happening to my gf or even my cousins as they have not been active. but @ beavishoek has been active and enthusiastic. then gets a slap in the face 2nite. i go to delegate some sp cause i am an awesome friend like that and vessel throws an operation error at me. is it out of date too? it doesnt surprise me tho. this isnt the first time support on steemit has been lack luster.

I am brand new, today is day 9. I have converted earnings to steem because I did not know better, but I have not put my own cash in yet. Was going to Friday, but now I am not sure if I will continue to use this platform. I literally just lost half of my earning power with no reason given.

thats the point i am trying to get at. explain to new users if you dont put money on after a certain period your delegated steem power gets halved.
