Since a couple of days we can enjoy a great step towards the future, called resteeming.
Resteeming an article works like you would retweet things, so your followers are also notified about the article you have interests in.
However, i noticed a major flaw in the way the resteems are presented on my feed. I've heard many other users complaining about it as well, and i think this could be a point to take into consideration by @dan and @ned for a next update.
I seem to miss a lot of posts from the people I follow due to my feed being filled with resteem posts. Hands down, I've discovered some amazing articles using resteem in my feed, but it bothers me that i keep missing out on regular posts.
Could the resteems be put on another tab page, column, row, or whatever to keep an overview of the people I follow? Can you separate the posts i might like from the posts I will like - the reason I follow these users - without missing them due to 30 resteem articles?
hi steve! Here's a little chrome plugin I just made to toggle visibility of Resteems. Give it a spin and let me know what you think!

Totally agree with you. The feature is good but need some improvements

The Feed is in need of some extra tools. Give us a set of filters to help control it, e.g. exclude resteems, filter by tag. It's just not viable to follow hundreds of people and still use the feed effectively. Maybe we'll eventually get user lists and other ways to control it. I can wait ;)

Love that idea of Resteemed posts on another tab. No doubt they bring in another source of good contents, however, it gets mixed up with many other writers that we personally enjoy, perhaps a share of interest or so on.
I'm sure there're many ways for these functions to be improved, but overall, this resteem feature is a good thing, and it'll become better as time goes.

I have un-followed people whom have re-posted too many posts. there was one user doing 8 per day...

same here, too many irrelevant posts at some point. Perhaps when this feature improves, we should follow back the ones we un-followed.

me too. I can't :/ some of them are abusing this and spamming my feed

yes, I am doing max 1per day. it is totally useless, as the feeds now are totally full with re-steemed posts.
While I really like the re-post feature it is useless if we can't select a view without the re-steemed posts. I barely see my favorite authors posts now..
while there is a lot stuff i didnt see, most of it i had already voted. so if stuff i have already voted is not displayed in my feed, that would be great...

I talked about this too 4 days ago:

The way the system works right now isn't very good.

Yes, I totally agree, though to tell the truth I don't think resteaming is a good feature, and I want to be able to turn it off. But failing that I'd like all the reshared posts to go into a separate section.
I follow people to see their own posts - if I want to see truckloads of posts I go to trending or new. I've already unfollowed several people who were reposting a lot.
And I don't repost stuff myself because I don't want other peoples posts mixed in with my posts in my blog tab.
It's great to try out new ideas, but my vote is a resounding NO to this one.
My feed is getting dumped on

I agree, a separate "resteemed feed" tab for those you follow would solve the issue.

Fully agree! A small checkbox "show/hide resteem" would be enough.

In full agreement with @steve-walschot , I love the resteeming but it really does make my feed clustered and hard to sort through. A little tweaking is all we need , maybe as Steve suggested a tab or maybe a toggle on/off show resteemed? Or possibly more options to show only resteemed / followed etc
I say this as I'm about to resteem this ;)

I decided to unfollow someone because I was being bombarded with resteem articles from that user. And even though I unfollowed I am still getting the resteemed articles. That's annoying.

It would be nice if we had a small checkbox option on top of the feed page to hide/show all reblogs.
