lately, I've been busy - developing non stop. You may know through my latest posts that - I've been developing on MinnowBooster to make that amazing Bot - even greater. In my opinion - it is currently one of the best and most reliable Voting Bots on Steemit. Even though we had a few voting value calculation issues - MinnowBooster still has an amazing return of investment. There are also a few features coming out soon - that will .. disrupt the steemit world.

But besides that and actual real life - I've been working on a project of my own. There are two main reasons for that:

1.) How quality of posts is neglected by voting-bots.

It is very difficult to bring quality to posts while trying to bring value to as many people as possible.

2.) I'm unsatisfied with the way I'm currently spending my own Voting Power.

I simply don't have enough time to read and to find great posts which are worth up-voting while also trying to find a way to maximize curation rewards. I'm simply developing too much... And putting aside the ethical side - self-voting isn't an option either.

That's why: I have created Wolf's Voting Bot.

Written from scratch (with the help of dsteem library) to make this Bot as feature-rich and customisable as possible - instead of relying on already open source bots like Dr. Otto or Lucky Luke - as many Upvote Bots do.

What is Wolf's Voting Bot?

Wolf's Voting Bot is a bot similar to MinnowBooster - but with the difference that it votes exclusively on steemians who have been approved by manual selection - with the goal to raise the quality of posts on steemit.

WVB also has a few Features that raises the bar in comparison to other UpVoting-Bots. (Except of MinnowBooster - which will have similar Features implemented)

However, as Wolf's Voting Bot is still very new - it is in Beta Status.

- Exclusive Voting List

My main goal for this bot is: to increase the quality of posts on Steemit and to support talented individuals on Steemit. My focus lies particularly on Artists and creative individuals - as steemit is an amazing way to get rewarded for being creative.

To achieve this goal - the list of Steemians is exclusive - on which posts Wolf's Voting Bot will vote on

The maximum amount of possible Members is currently capped at 10 - with a Daily Limit of 2 Posts and a weekly Limit of 7. More posts and the quality suffers.

But don't worry - I've implemented a waiting list. So even if the cap is full - the chance is there that you get in.

- Balance System and Automatic Votes

The Balance and Automatic Vote System removes the need of sending 'steemit-post url' in memo transfer.

Just imagine a prepaid Smartphone. You simply charge your balance and if you don't want use Wolf's Voting Bot anymore - you can either turn off Autovoting or withdraw from balance and quit. (More on this below - under commands)

The cost of Votes are 1:1 in comparison to the Vote-Value.

Example:

If a 100% Vote from @therealwolf has a value of 0.30$ (real value on steemnow) then the cost will be 0.30$. The amount will be withdrawn from your balance and if there isn't enough for at least a 50% upvote - the post won't be voted on (but not skipped).

However, I might change how this works in the future depending if my SteemPower increases. (hint: sp delegation's are an interesting topic)

The earliest for your Votes to be voted on - begins after you apply for the membership but only if you are approved.

- Vote-Cashback System

30% (number might change in the future) of your vote values on @therealwolf's posts & comments (younger than 6 days and 12 hours) will be paid out to your balance. This value get's calculated without reducing your own curation reward!

Payout happens as soon as the post is over 7 days old.

Example: Let's say your vote is worth 0.10$ and you vote on 10 different posts/comments from @therealwolf.

0.10$ * 10 = 1$ / 0.3 => 0.33$

Then you gain 0.33$ Balance which is enough for one whole up-vote.

In total you will have over 50% vote return - not counting the possible exponential curation growth.

Detailed Explanation

You might wonder now: ok - but how does it work? How do I sign up?

It's simple.

1.) Registration

Command	Explanation
apply	Apply to be included in the Voting List

Step 1: If you want to be a part of the exclusive voting list - send a transfer with 'apply' (without the quotes) to @therealwolf
Step 2: Wait until you have received a response regarding if you have been accepted or declined
Step 3:
If you have been declined, then you can try again but after you have improved your post content or the answer will be the same.
if you would have been accepted but the slots are all full - then you'll be put onto the waiting list.
If you have been accepted: Congratulations - now the real fun can begin.

2.) Getting Started

As you have been accepted now - there are a few commands you can use in the transfer memo.

Command as Member	Explanation
deposit	Increase your Balance through the transfer amount ( >= 0.1 SBD)
withdraw X	Withdraw the specified amount X of your balance
balance	See the status of your balance
on	Turn Auto Upvotes On
off	Turn Auto Upvotes Off
quit	Remove yourself from Voting List (Balance will be returned)

I think those are all pretty self-explanatory. However, regarding withdrawing: transfer 0.001 SBD as amount and the amount you want to draw as test into the memo field.

So for example - if you want to withdraw 5.23$ - then you write: withdraw 5.23
and input 0.001 as amount.

And that's it. I've started the project few weeks ago but worked nearly day and night the last few days and to be able to finally launch it - makes me very, very happy.

Frequently Asked Questions

1.) Q: Does the membership cost anything?
A: No. It doesn't cost anything. The only cost is per up-vote.

2.) Q: Is Wolf's Voting Bot an alternative to existing Upvoting-Bots?
A: No. Current Upvoting Bots - like @minnowbooster, @randowhale or @booster have a different target audience. Somewhat similar is @qurator - but I'd say that Wolf's Voting Bot is still very unique and advanced.

3.) Q: Will the Maximum Daily & Weekly Amount be increased?
A: No. My opinion is that it takes time to create a quality post. Especially when an artwork produced for that post. And that is my goal.

4.) Q: Will there be an option for delegating SP to the Bot?
