The Steem Revolution Has Started? - Shots Fired!

I wrote several paragraphs voicing my concern on this situation, but after further consideration I have removed them prior to posting so that I too do not face retaliation, assuming that's what this is. This is a hazard unique to Steem. That alone should express my feelings on the matter.

I would like to say that I feel that Steemservices has done a lot to promote this project and nextgen has been a vigilant witness. I see no good coming from this, which makes it even more senseless, and everyone should be prepared for anything and everything after 7/4.

Note: These are unvotes by Ned, not downvotes.

le sigh.

It is truly sad to see such crab mentality. After July 4th it will be more difficult to retroactively change votes like this.

Popcorn time!

Why they do this?

Downvote brigading is bound to happen. Sad but, others just simply feel powerful in doing it.

Unvote, not downvote. A bit of a difference.

I disagree. The intent of the "unvote" in this case has the same effect as a downvote. If any one of these were isolated unvotes, one could make a case that it simply represents a change in opinion regarding the value of the post. But like most of human communication, context is everything. The intent is clear from the bulk nature of the unvotes. It was to materially damage a specific person. The motivation behind unvoting instead of downvoting is probably the belief that most people would draw a distinction where none exists.

I see now.

I thought Steem was about upvoting content, not a person behind it.
