Converting STEEM Dollars to STEEM

I know you can do the conversion that takes a week or you can sell STEEM Dollars for STEEM directly on the marketplace. Any tips/recommendations for doing this? Is one method better than the other?

EDIT: Also, is it better to receive rewards in STEEM power or STEEM dollars?

    Ok, a bunch of upvotes but no replies? Another question, how do most people opt to receive their post rewards? Steem dollars or Steem power?
