The Slowness and Missed Operations on Steem Are a Known Issue

Yesterday I made this post, pointing out that SteemIt is running very poorly for me and wondering if others were having the same problem...

THEY WERE.

So, I tagged Steemchiller and he responded...

It's a known issue and they are working on it. I don't know a time frame or what, but already things are running a bit better.

Today steemit server is much better than yesterday. I hope it will be fixed tomorrow.

I have seen this many times in past. They will fix it as soon as possible.

We all wait for it to improve, in case we see improvements we have to communicate it.

Let's see how it works today, hopefully it has improved.

This is relieving to know. Thanks, @whatsup for the update. Really appreciated.

I noticed the problem over the weekend, and I quickly concluded that there must be some work being done on the platform. The only thing that really bothers me about moments like that is that it would not take much to make a quick, visible post warning people of the possible hiccups. It would really make things less frustrating, because you can start imagining there's something wrong with your connection, or Steemit is being hacked or your computer's going wacky. And then it would also be nice to know if anything was changed, or just simply know what bugs were fixed. I'm sure it's all up on github, but we're not all that tech-savvy to understand these kinds of things unless they are explained in laymen terms.
