I'd like to convert these ten disco-era relics into cryptocurrency,
so if anyone is interested please examine the photos and read the information at the bottom of this post explaining the SteemBay auction process. It's pretty straightforward and not unlike other online auctions.

Breaking it down.. This lot includes one each of the following coins:
• 1971-D
• 1972 Type 3 reverse
• 1973-D (hard to find as it was not made for general circulation)
• 1974
• 1976 Type 2 reverse (three examples of this coin are in the group)
• 1976-D Type 2 reverse
• 1977-D
• 1978
This is not by any means a complete set of Ikes, but every year is represented.
The 1972 is a bit of a foggy patina and some tarnishing. The image of Earth on the reverse is the Type 3 style which is not the rare one.
The 1973s were only produced in Mint Sets for the collector market.. so someone broke open a set and spent this example winding up at a bank. This example
The Bicentennials were of course minted during 1975 and 1976... so you'll never see a 1975-dated Ike Dollar. All four of these specimens from both P and D mints have the Type 2 reverse lettering.
Most 1977-78s that I've seen are much better stuck than the previous years with much better detail and relief. The examples here are very attractive coins.
Alas these big chunks of change made way for the small size Susan B. Anthony Dollar by 1979 itself only to last for a few years of production.
Being made of copper-nickel (cupronickel) clad, these 10 coins contain a total of 8 ounces of copper (a half pound) worth about $1.60 USD just so ya know!
