My daughter has a linen closet with one shelf, I told my grandson to get ready, we're going to do some home repairs, we are going to make a shelf, his first response like always is, we do not have any tools.
I told him to get me a string, he ask me what kind of shelf we were going to make with a string? kids, you gotta love 'em.
Lets go to The Home Depot, after I pick out the wood we needed, I showed him the importance of the string, so the cutter used the strings to determined the length and width, then I had smaller pieces of wood cut, since I noticed her kitchen floor slant downward, I used them to level out the front part of the stove to make it even.
So here's the finished results, I let him put the shelf up, and, I tilted the stove back so that he could place the wood pieces under each leg, you got to let them do things in order to learn.
I told him this will do for now5 until I get a hammer and nails to add a center slant for support.
