i’m not sure how i found out about cryptopay.me but it’s got a wonderful interface, 2FA security, great options and wallets inter transfers to different currencies and the ability to purchase a physical credit card and virtual cards, i love it. i’ll be using this and a few other providers, like bitpay.com

Cryptopay.me | Get 25% off all Cryptopay bitcoin debit cards <— get your card here, it’s a referral link if you found this post useful. great service.

so if you have been following along with some of my other posts or you have managed already to setup a bitcoin wallet somewhere and you’ve done so well that you wanna maybe cash in a little bit of that bitcoin for hard cash you can use then this is the post for you (although tbh, i recommend you hold onto your crypto currency and keep the value in the system!) to help you grab that hard cash from your local ATM or even spend it online! :)

let’s look around the admin interface of cryptopay!

pretty rad right? i love that credit card and virtual card feature, as you may know on the iPhone you can have support for virtual credit cards, it’s super easy, just follow these steps

  1. Go into Settings.
  2. Tap “Wallet & Apple Pay” and select “Add Credit or Debit Card”
  3. Enter your card's security code to add your credit or debit card from your iTunes account. Or, select “Add a different card” and use your iSight camera or enter the card information manually.

job done, easy right, now you have complete control over your accounts, been worried about using a credit card before online? want some kind of damage limitation, no problem! just setup a virtual credit card, transfer a small balance and use that to buy from the merchant or provider, if it’s a bit behind the scenes and not your average amazon at least if something happens to your details you can throw away that virtual card. pretty neat.

digital nomad or homeless?

you can’t always get a credit card right if you don’t have a permanent or fixed address, if your homeless you can’t get a bank account because you don’t have an address — crypto is a new lifeline to your offgrid lifestyle my friends, keep your minimal income in bitcoin or similar, access at a local cybercafe or cheap tablet or pocket pc and with this method you can push bitcoin into that account and distribute it over your accounts!

travelling overseas? travellers cheques are DEAD

really? don’t use them, don’t carry them, just have a backup charger and your mobile phone and your apple wallet, link up all your virtual cards with GBP, US DOLLAR or EUROS and your golden, again, bask in the glory that if your virtual credit card is NOT your main card, don’t get trapped in another country because something happened to your credit card ever again!

i’d suggest that you load only a certain amount, and if your hardcore about it why not just put on enough for that day/week that way you can budget but if that local bar or club that was a little shady charges your card at least they won’t lock you out of your card or account and you’ll be able to get funds still if they try and drop some crash amount outta of it — just giving you power tips each and everyday to keep you on track! :)

spread the love, love you! xx
