STEEMCHURCH: THE WARNING

We are warned that in the last days perilous times would come when men would be lovers of pleasure more than lover's of God.

In the story of Balaam you could see how he looked into the future and saw how the Lord would bless Israel in the latter days, he wished his latter end would be like theirs.

But we see that he was not willing to pay the price to obtain the blessing. Many people are like Balaam: they would like to have the blessing of the lord in their latter end and be ushered into Heaven when they pass out of this world.

But they want the world while they are living. They are not willing to sacrifice worldly pleasure and honor that they might have eternal life in the end.

Moses is a fine example of one who is willing to forsake all and follow Jesus. Moses forsook a throne, honor, wealth and fame choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than enjoy the pleasure of sin for a season (Hebrew 11:25).

Brother and sister of the @Steemchurch I will also love to remind us that we are not there yet, let’s not get discouraged now, let’s keep up the good work (daily pledge) for our paradise is closer than ever!

Thank you for this reminder brother abiye. God blees you.

brother abiye indeed you're right, lot of person still living like the gentile just as Peter said in 1 Peter 4:3 after wanting to feel from the worldly bread, they still want to make heaven without leaving this worldly things behind, let's ask ourselves What do God really want from us?

for the wages of sin is death but those that accept christ shall recieve life abundant

We should all emulate christ during our short time here on earth.

Was really blessed by this sir..keep on shining

We are living in the last days brother abiye where men love money and worldly pleasures more than they love others😢😢.

Scripture has made us to understand in the book of romans that the wages of sin is death but the "free" gift of God is eternal life and in the gospel according to John, where Christ tells us that but to all who did receive him, who believes in his name, he gave the right to become children of God. Christ has paid the price for us, but shall we continue to sin that grace maybe abound God forbid!. Let us come to Christ Jesus and make him our Lord and personal Savior only then can we be saved

The last church age.
Laodecia church age. The peoples right.
Nobody wants to listen any longer.
Lukewarm spirit everywhere.
Thanks for resounding the warning.
May God richly bless you.
Shalom!

Thanks for this writeup, Moses was a fine example.

Well said Brother Abiye! And I note some very good comments here already. SirKnight.

Ephesians 6 vs 12 tells us "for we are not fighting against human beings but against the wicked spiritual forces inthe heavenly world, the rulers, authouritues, and cosmic powers of this dark age". We should learn not to focus on the pleasures of this world but instead know why we were sent to earth

we are all advised to put our lives together for the day the lord commenth is here!

Funny enough i can recite that part of II Timothy from beginning to the end
We truly have to be careful these days because we are close to the end times
Men have already started loving themselves and brothers fighting and dragging properties
Nice post

Very true brother. A lot of christians out there want to eat their cake and have it. But should not be so. A firm resolution to do what is right regardless of the cost should drive us.

I agree with you, but sad to say, we have more Pharaohs than Moseses these days. And it's all the more difficult to be Moses-like, however, as believers it is imperative that strive to display such self-sacrificing quality.
