In the bible in the book of John 14: 6 Jesus said: "I am the way of truth and life. Nobody comes to the father but for me.
Have you ever been lost? You may remember the occasion in, the one that going to visit a friend or relative, can not find the address. As you move along unfamiliar roads, do you stop at some point to ask for help? Imagine that in a situation like that, you meet a kind person who does not just explain how to get there, but tells you: "Better follow me, I'll accompany you". What a relief!
Well, in a certain sense, that is what Jesus has done for human beings. As we have inherited imperfection and sin, we all find ourselves lost, "away from the life that belongs to God. As the inspired word of God mentions the Bible in Ephesians 4: 17,18.
Jesus makes us this invitation that is recorded in the bible in Mark 10.21 in its final part: Come, be my follower.

When he declared the prophetic words of his father, Jesus was always faithful to the truth. As recorded in the bible in John 8:40 where Jesus says: But at an hour, they try to kill me, a man who has told them the truth that I heard from God. Abraham did not do this.
In his mouth there was no deceit (1 Peter 2:22). Even his enemies acknowledged that he taught "the way of God according to the truth" (Mark 12: 13,14).
Therefore, Jesus was "the truth" in person. It was as if through him the prophetic word of Jehovah God had come true (John 1:17; Colossians 2: 16,17).
Jesus is also "life", only through him we can receive "the life of truth" (1 Timothy 6:19). The scriptures state: "He who exercises faith in the son has eternal life; he who disobeys the son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him "(John 3:36).
"I am the walk and the truth and the life". Actually, his words are as valid today as when he pronounced them. That is why we can have the absolute certainty that if we follow Jesus, we will never be lost. He, and only he, will show us the way to reach "the father".
