John 17: 22-23
22 The glory that you gave me, I have given them, so that they may be one, just as we are one.
23 I in them, and you in me, so that they may be perfect in unity, so that the world may know that you sent me and that you have loved them as you have loved me.

This refers to the participation of the believer in all the attributes and essence of God through the presence of the Holy Spirit that dwells within him.

All of us are members of a group whose head is Christ and each one of us has a fundamental and necessary role within the congregation. A body can not function properly, if the left-hand does the same as the right-hand does, or if the mouth does the same as the nose, each of us performs a specific function and everything is according to the will of God.

Perfect in unity

Here the idea is that believers can reach unity in the same spiritual life centered on the true one that saves. This prayer was answered by the reality of 1 Corinthians 12:12

Ephesians 4:15
15 But if we follow the truth in love, let us grow in everything in him who is the head, that is, Christ.

The love towards God, towards oneself, the love towards our neighbor, towards our brothers, is indispensable to be able to fulfill the purpose that God assigned to us on this earth.

Romans 12: 16-20
16 Live in harmony with one another. Do not be arrogant, but be in solidarity with the humble. Do not believe the only ones who know.

17 Do not pay anyone bad for evil. Try to do good in front of everyone. 18 If possible, and as far as it depends on you, live in peace with everyone. 19 Do not take revenge, my brothers, but leave the punishment in the hands of God, because it is written: "Mine is revenge; I will pay », [b] says the Lord. 20 Rather,

"If your enemy is hungry, feed him;
If he is thirsty, give him a drink.
Acting like this, you will make him ashamed of his behavior »

1 Peter 3: 8-15
8 And finally, be all of one heart, compassionate, loving one another fraternally, merciful, friendly;
9 Not returning evil for evil, nor cursing for a curse, but rather on the contrary, blessing; knowing that you are called so that you may have a blessing as an inheritance.
10 For He who wants to love life, and see good days, Restrain his tongue from evil, And his lips speak no deceit;
11 Depart from evil, and do good; Look for peace and follow it.
12 For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are attentive to his prayers: But the face of the Lord is on those who do evil.
13 And who is it that can harm you, if you follow good?
14 But also if you suffer for doing good, you are blessed. Therefore, fear not for their fear, nor be troubled;
15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and be always ready to respond with gentleness and reverence to each one who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you:

Ephesians 4: 3
3 solicitous in keeping the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace

Paul says that pastors and teachers equip us in everything until we reach the unity of faith and full knowledge of the Son of God.
Seek to be cheered by the Spirit and produce the fruits of the Spirit.

God is the gear of love, where is the Spirit of God there must be love.

Hello greeting good post. In view of the image of the church as a field whose Head is Christ, this indispensable part of the body describes a leader with authority and not just a source, which would have required an anatomical image distianta.
